  • Patent number: 5014981
Abstract: An exercising apparatus comprising a pair of permanent magnets, each preferably surrounded by a container or glove for safety. A second pair of magnets may be worn, such as on a belt for interaction with said first pair. The magnets may be combined with dumbbells or barbells to interract with a second pair of stationary or movable magnets wherein resistance is provided by repulsion of like poles or attraction of unlike poles. They may be at right angles or parallel to dumbbells. Pairs of magnets may be guided by flexible or rigid tracks and may be cylindrically shaped so as to be reciprocable in a cylinder by grips projecting outwardly of the ends of the cylinder.
