  • Publication number: 20230262041
Abstract: Technologies for verifying user identities include a device having circuitry configured to determine whether a compute device of a user has requested to join a communication session hosted on a computer network based communication platform. The circuitry is also configured to perform a primary verification operation to verify an identity of the user. Additionally, the circuitry is configured to determine whether a social verification of the identity of the user, based on a human analysis of one or more exhibited characteristics of the user, is warranted, request, in response to a determination that social verification of the identity of the user is warranted and from a member of the communication platform, confirmation of the identity of the user, and weight the confirmation of the identity of the user as a function of trust data indicative of how the member knows the user.

  • Patent number: 11658836
Abstract: Technologies for preserving contextual data across video conferences include a compute device. The compute device includes circuitry configured to provide a graphical user interface that enables authenticated and approved users to hold a first video conference and share contextual data among the users in association with the first video conference. The circuitry is also configured to store a record of the contextual data shared among the authenticated and approved users. Additionally, the circuitry is configured to provide, in the graphical user interface and in association with a subsequent video conference among the users, the record of the contextual data that was shared among the users in association with the first video conference. The contextual data includes at least one of a textual communication and a file.

  • Patent number: 11547044
Abstract: A front mower for mounting on a front three point linkage of a tractor to be operated for cutting vegetation, such as grass, in front of the tractor, the mower comprising: (i) a headstock for mounting on the front three point linkage of the tractor; (ii) a mowing head comprising an array of cutting heads for cutting vegetation such as grass, mounted on and moveable relative to the headstock to follow the contours of the ground over which the mower is passing; (iii) a mounting mechanism mounting the mowing head to the headstock, wherein the mounting mechanism comprises a cutting angle adjustment mechanism comprising an arc shaped guide and a follower for the arc shaped guide, the follower being moveable back and forth along the arc shaped guide, so that the cutting angle adjustment mechanism allows the mowing head to move back and forth along an arc defined by the guide and relative to the headstock so as to vary the cutting angle of the cutting heads.

  • Publication number: 20130080676
Abstract: A data input system includes a wireless keyboard and docking station, which can be connected to a computer system. When the keyboard and docking station are mechanically connected, the docking station is configured automatically to generate a new pairing code or key that is different to a previously-generated one. This new code/key is then transmitted back to the keyboard over a wireless control link and the keyboard and docking station then set up a paired data channel over which data from the keyboard is transmitted wirelessly to the docking station, and so the computer system. When a new mechanical connection is made, e.g. using the same or a different keyboard, the process repeats so that a new pairing code or key is generated, thus avoiding interference with other keyboard(s) that were previously paired with the same docking station.

  • Publication number: 20080215096
Abstract: A surgical implant device for stabilising a lamina of the spine following a procedure in which a cut is made in the lamina to form two lamina portions. The device has a longitudinally extending spacer component 211 adapted to extend across the cut between the lamina portions and adapted to be fixed to the lamina. The device may have one or more members 215 extending from one side of the spacer component to fit in the space between the two portions of the cut lamina when the device is fixed in position. The device may comprise a first spacer part and a second spacer part which are adapted to be positioned on opposite sides of the cut and connectable together to fix the device in position.
