  • Publication number: 20230363790
Abstract: A wound sealing sleeve for use with a goniotomy device has a hollow body with an open end by which the sleeve is attachable to a handle and an open tip through which a shaft is passed. One or more optional ports are formed in the sleeve to provide variable fluid paths. The port or ports may differ in size, shape and positioning on the sleeve. The wound sealing sleeve may be affixed to a handle by threads, a friction fit, glue, or mechanically fastened. The wound sealing sleeve is able to be deformed slightly in order to match the shape or contour of the eye incision to prevent leakage between the exterior surface of the wound sealing sleeve and the surgical incision.

  • Publication number: 20140002663
Abstract: An automated photo capture and retrieval system for automatically capturing and indexing an image of an individual within an event, the individual being uniquely identifiable. The system includes a tracking device worn by an individual traveling along a route for automatic identification and tracking; a detector for automatically detecting the tracking device and when the tracking device is detected a capture signal is sent to a camera distributed throughout the event which automatically capture images of an individual in the field of view of the camera; a means of associating and labelling the captured image with the detected identity of the individual; a communications network for transmitting the labelled images to a computer; a means for automatically editing each image and saving the edited image in an image database; and a means of advising the individual that an image of the individual has been captured.

  • Patent number: 7494525
Abstract: Use of urease-inhibiting amounts of calcium polysulfide, potassium polysulfide, calcium thiosulfate, magnesium thiosulfate, and blends thereof, in combination with urea-containing fertilizer to significantly reduce potential losses of nitrogen due to ammonia volatilization.

  • Patent number: 6809256
Abstract: An improved audio cable comprising at least one pair of first and second insulated conductors located on opposite sides of a shielding member that extends the entire length of the cable. The first and second conductors are located on opposite sides of the shielding member. Bores, also called lenses, are formed on the shielding member that allow exposure of the magnetic fields of the first and second conductors to reduce inductance. In the first embodiment, the shielding member is a flat structure twisted into spiral with the conductors on opposite sides of the shielding member. The conductors and shielding member may be covered with an outer shielding member that only extends over the lenses or the entire length of the cable and covered by a durable, protective outer cover.

  • Patent number: 5677974
Abstract: A hybrid cable for distributing communications signals and three-phase moderate-voltage alternating current, and a distribution method and network using the hybrid cable. The cable includes a hollow conduit, an optical fiber pulled through the conduit and housed within the conduit, power conductors disposed around the conduit, and a sheath which provides both structural protection and dielectric properties encasing the power conductors.

  • Patent number: 5572944
Abstract: A boat having a swim platform assembly mounted thereto is disclosed. The assembly has a top member and a bottom member assembled in a clam-shell manner. The interior of the swim platform assembly is hollow and preferably has a watertight seal. Preferably, a pair of projections are formed at the outboard corners of the swim platform which are received in complementary recesses formed in the stern of the boat hull. In addition, the aft portion of the bottom member is substantially planar and the bottom member is convex. The combination of the convex bottom member, interlocking projections and interlocking recesses results in a swim platform having enhanced strength, stability and buoyancy.

  • Patent number: 5405278
Abstract: A recess flow plate mounted to a boat hull to substantially cover a through-hull mounting recess located on the bottom of a boat hull is disclosed. The through hull mounting recess has an upstanding front wall which is adapted to receive the propeller shaft and a tapered top wall which extends rearwardly from the upstanding front wall. The flow plate is removably secured over the through-hull recess to maintain the laminar flow of water across the bottom of the boat hull.
