  • Publication number: 20180295656
Abstract: A method of interfacing with a serving device from a wearable device worn by a user, the method includes establishing a lossless and wireless data link between the serving device and the wearable device. The method further includes sending, by the serving device, display information to the wearable device through the lossless and wireless data link. The method also includes presenting, by the wearable device, the display information to a display on the wearable device. The display information may be rendered at the wearable device. Alternatively, the display information may be rendered at the serving device and provided to the wearable device as an image or partial image.

  • Patent number: 9913302
Abstract: A method of interfacing with a serving device from a wearable device worn by a user, the method includes establishing a lossless and wireless data link between the serving device and the wearable device. The method further includes collecting, by the wearable device, audio data from one or more microphones of the wearable device. The method also includes sending, by the wearable device, the collected audio data to the serving device through the lossless and wireless data link. The method may further include providing, by the serving device, speech recognition services associated with the audio data.

  • Patent number: 8754931
Abstract: Connections, software programming and interaction between a smart phone and a Head Mounted Display (HMD) or other video eyewear to improve user experience. The signal from an accelerometer and/or a touch screen in a smart phone is used only for certain control of an application program, such as to steer a racing car or a plane or to move a game persona character within a virtual space. The main scene for the game is displayed in the HMD and not the smart phone screen. One or more inputs from the HMD such as a head tracker or camera, are connected to the smart phone either via a wire or wirelessly such as via WiFi or Bluetooth. The head tracking and/or camera inputs are used as another input to the game, such as to pan/zoom or change the viewpoint of the user. In a still further implementation, the HMD also can have an integrated processor to make it a “smart” HMD.

  • Patent number: 8665177
Abstract: Capacitive touch sensors are integrated with a head-mounted display (HMD) device or other video eyewear devices to create a more reliable and more intuitive user interface. The sensors, which may be implemented as an array, control various aspects of a left and right channel multimedia presentation, such as interpupillary distance or stereoscopic convergence, brightness, volume, or power mode.
