The recliner rod is pivotally retained relative to the seat back and slidingly engaged through the actuator mechanism, the spring unit being positioned between the seat-back frame and the actuator mechanism. The spring unit is disposed about the recliner rod, and includes an inner elongated compression spring nested within an outer elongated compression spring.
