Abstract: The subject invention pertains to methods of treating HIV-1 infected subject comprising the administration of growth hormone to a subject infected by HIV-1. The subject may be undergoing co-administration of anti-retroviral therapies (ARTs), may be untreated with anti-retroviral drugs (ARDs) or may be in a period of time where no ART is being administered. Growth hormone may be administered at a fixed dosage for a set period of time or may be administered at a first dosage for a first period of time that may then be increased or decreased to a second dosage for a second period of time.

Abstract: A cementitious pipe as a tubular wall of fibre-reinforced cementitious pseudo strain hardening (PSH) matrix. The matrix and a wall thickness to diameter ratio within a range are such that the pipe exhibits characteristic behaviour in diametral quasi-static bending under a 3-edge bearing method. The behaviour is such that a stress versus relative displacement curve for the pipe exhibits a substantially linear elastic region having a first slope within first limits, and from the LOP to the MOR for the pipe, a PSH region which, beyond a possible transition region, has a slope which is less than that of the elastic region and is within second limits.

Abstract: The invention relates to a particular additive and method for dispersing an admixture in a cementitious composition comprising a hydraulic cement, to provide activation of the admixture on mixing of the cementitious composition with water wherein the particles of the particulate additive comprise a carrier comprising pozzolanic material and an admixture bound to the particulate carrier wherein the particles of the additive have a median particle size of between one tenth and one half of the median particle size of the cement used in the cementitious composition.
