  • Publication number: 20070010107
Abstract: A socket is for use in an electronic system to hold a circuit board module that has spaced electrical pads proximate to two opposite edges thereof. The socket indudes a base and electrical conductors. The base has rectangularly arranged peripheral portions and is for receiving the circuit board module. The electrical conductors align with the electrical pads on the circuit board module. At least portions of the electrical conductors are disposed on respectively opposite ones of the peripheral portions to contact at least portions of corresponding ones of the aligned electrical pads on the circuit board module when the circuit board module is held in the socket.

  • Publication number: 20050219854
Abstract: An illuminated grab handle assembly for mounting to a surface is provided. The grab handle assembly includes a handle member and a base assembly receiving an end of the handle member and adapted to be mounted to the surface. An illumination source positioned between the base assembly and the handle is also included for illuminating the handle member. A solar cell is mounted to the base assembly for generating an electric current in response to the detection of an ambient light. A rechargeable battery is mounted to the base assembly and is electrically connected to both the illumination source and the solar cell wherein the electric current generated by the solar cell charges the rechargeable battery. A photoelectric cell for detecting an ambient light and generating an output signal corresponding to the detected ambient light is provided.

  • Publication number: 20050023021
Abstract: A rapid mounting, “square” electrical outlet or junction box (4? square, 4-{fraction (11/16)}? square, 2-gang, etc.) comprises a back plate and four upstanding sidewalls attached to the back plate and defining a front opening. One or more of the sidewalls has a number of conduit knockouts, as well as a plurality of cable access ports, which allow entry of AC, MC, NM, or other cables. The sidewalls also have a mounting hole pattern for rapidly mounting the outlet box, by way of any of the sidewalls, to a wood or metal stud. Accordingly, regardless of the box's orientation, conduit and/or electrical cables can always be routed to the box, and conduits that approach the box from any direction can be easily accommodated without bending or rerouting. Among other things, the outlet box may also be provided with external cable clamps, fold-out depth tangs, device connection flanges, and pre-attached ground leads.

  • Patent number: 6484320
Abstract: An apparatus for lessening the force exerted by the current as water flows past the legs of a user who is standing perpendicular with respect to the current. A V-shaped portion is disposed upstream and, preferably, a second V-shaped portion is disposed downstream over the lower portion of each of the legs. A detachable rigid strap-on version is described along with a flexible permanently attached version that is attached to each leg of a pair of waders.

  • Patent number: 6220240
Abstract: An outdoor fireplace has an extendible handle that is extendible between two positions so that the fireplace may be easily moved. The handle includes first and second handle members that telescopingly engage each other and which are maintained at an angle with respect to the ground by way of their attachment to the firebowl member of the fireplace. In one position, the handle members are maintained in a collapsed position such that the handle does not extend too far from the firebowl member and serve as an impediment to movement around the fireplace. In the other, extended position, the handle members are extend within each other and the gripping portion of the handle is moved significantly away from the firebowl so that the fireplace may be easily moved without the user being close to the fireplace.
