  • Patent number: 12190297
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for intelligently dispatching vehicles to a vehicle service center to progress vehicles at a predefined rate through sequential stations of the vehicle service center. The disclosed systems can analyze services associated with vehicles. Based on the services, the disclosed systems can determine how to order, within a virtual queue, vehicles corresponding to the services. For example, the disclosed systems can predict a complexity associated with a service for a vehicle, and in turn, determine whether adding the vehicle to the service queue will allow the vehicle to move through a set of sequential stations in accordance with the predefined progression rate. In response, the disclosed systems can dispatch the vehicle, refrain from dispatching the vehicle, or otherwise dynamically respond to enable the vehicle to move through the set of sequential stations in accordance with the predefined progression rate.

  • Publication number: 20240324775
Abstract: Retaining brackets to fixedly secure either a singular modular shelving unit or multiple modular shelving units are disclosed. The retaining brackets can prevent modular shelves from dislodging, by positioning the retaining bracket such that an opening on the retaining bracket aligns with a mounting location on a vertical member of the modular shelving unit, and a distance between a retaining surface of the retaining bracket and a top surface of the modular shelf is small enough to prevent dislodging of the modular shelf when the retaining bracket is installed. The retaining surface of the retaining brackets can vary depending on the configuration used to retain the modular shelf, as well as the embodiment of the retaining bracket used.

  • Patent number: 12062281
Abstract: A traffic obstruction early warning system installed in roadway locations with limited visibility or restricted line of sight to warn drivers approaching a hazardous road condition well in advance so that precautionary measures may be taken and thereby reduce the risk of the multiple vehicle involvement. Selected roadway locations for the system installations can be the location of past vehicle pile-ups, or at-risk locations. The system timely and cohesively integrates inputs from a plurality of roadway sensors and human reporting to deploy a variety of visible and audible alerts to approaching drivers, law enforcement, emergency responders, local hospitals, utility companies, vehicle apps, and others using a variety of communication modalities.

  • Publication number: 20240175416
Abstract: A fuel injector includes a nozzle body, at least one injection orifice formed through an injection end of the nozzle body, and a tubular valve disposed in a bore of the nozzle body that moves between open and closed positions. Apertures formed through a wall of the tubular valve permit fuel to flow freely between opposite ends and along an inner surface of the valve, regardless of any limitations imposed by an annular gap between the valve and nozzle body. The injector provides exceptionally high fuel flow rates without increasing valve lift or injection orifice size over conventional diesel fuel injectors, making it ideal for synthetic fuels such as DME.

  • Publication number: 20240167462
Abstract: A desmodromic mechanism exhibits reciprocating motion of a pair of cam followers driven by a single cam. The mechanism is useful in a fuel pump that pressurizes a liquid for delivery to a fuel rail of a combustion engine. A desmodromic lever is symmetric about its rotational axis and maintains continuous contact between cam lobes and cam followers for the entirety of each rotational cycle. The mechanism is particularly useful in multi-piston pumps required to deliver higher than normal volumes of liquid fuel, as is the case with low energy density alternatives to diesel fuel.

  • Publication number: 20240161104
Abstract: A “hierarchical symmetric key distribution” method, system, and apparatus (“HKDS”) is provided for a scalable and fundamentally secure solution for a security protocol for financial transactions, including the electronic payment industry. The security protocol can be used in conjunction with various message authentication code generators and extended output functions to derive unique symmetric keys which can be used to protect messaging and communications in the financial services industry. The security protocol, for example, provide a distributed key management protocol that generates unique transaction keys from a base terminal key, such that the terminal does not retain information that could be used to reconstruct the key once the transaction has been completed, the capture of the terminals state does not provide enough information to construct future derived keys, and the server can reconstruct the transaction key using a bonded number of cryptographic operations.

  • Patent number: 11983549
Abstract: Multi-tiered graphical user interface (GUI) systems and methods are described for interoperating between multiple mobile application modes during a real-time caregiving event. An expert GUI and a novice GUI are rendered having a an expert mode and an novice mode, respectively, that share a control state for passing operation between the expert mode and the novice mode. A triggering of a caregiving event is detected that causes the passing of the control state from the expert mode to the novice mode, and the rendering of a novice GUI in an interoperated sequence following rendering of the expert GUI. Caregiving data of a novice user is generated during the novice mode, wherein the novice GUI, as rendered during the novice mode, comprises a different interface compared with the expert GUI, and the novice GUI configured for manipulation by the novice user.
