Patent number: 11995609Abstract: In one embodiment, a processing device receives a first digital fingerprint of a media item along with a first content management rule. The processing device separately receives a second digital fingerprint of the media item along with a second content management rule. The processing device determines that the received digital fingerprints are for the same media item based upon a match between the first digital fingerprint and the second digital fingerprint. The processing device determines that all rights to the media item have been accounted for, and then determines a set of actions to be performed for hosted media items comprising the media item based at least in part upon the first content management rule and the second content management rule. Processing logic may also perform a conflict resolution process for conflicting rights claims to the media item.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2022Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: Audible Magic CorporationInventors: Vance Ikezoye, David Price Williams, Michael Thomas Edwards, Stephen John Grillos, John R. Publication number: 20240035379Abstract: Techniques and systems extract water from lunar regolith using microwave radiation and may also produce fuel from the extracted water. The system can distill the extracted water to remove impurities before electrolyzing the purified water into oxygen and hydrogen gases, which may then be cooled to form liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. A portion of the system may reside on a lunar landing module. Another portion of the system may be affixed to a robotic arm that is extendable from the lunar landing module. This portion of the system includes a water extraction unit, comprising a cone used as a cold trap. The cone may include cooling channels to keep the temperature of the smooth inner surface of the cone cold enough to trap particles of frost that attach to the inner surface. The frost is then scraped from the inner surface and collected.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2022Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: Emmanuel John Grillos, II, Brandon Block

Publication number: 20230339628Abstract: Systems and methods for receiving a descending rocket, which may be at sea. The rocket may descend vertically with the nose higher than the nozzle. The rocket body may be angled as it descends. A boom arm with hooks may extend at an angle to the rocket body to engage a cable suspended by a semisubmersible platform at sea. The platform may include a dampened cable and lateral straps for securing and rotating the rocket into a horizontal orientation. The platform may receive a ship and purge water to elevate the platform for placing the horizontal rocket onto the ship.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2022Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Emmanuel John Grillos, II, Richard Donovan Jones

Patent number: 11158013Abstract: In one embodiment, a processing device receives a request to claim ownership of a first hosted media item on a first media sharing platform, wherein the request is received from a rights holder that holds one or more rights to a claimed media item that is incorporated into the first hosted media item. The processing device adds an indicator of the ownership of the rights holder to a first entry for the first hosted media item in a data store. The processing device determines that a second hosted media item having a threshold similarity to the first hosted media item is hosted by a second media sharing platform. The processing device automatically adds an indicator of the ownership of the rights holder to a second entry for the second hosted media item without receiving a separate request to claim ownership of the second hosted media item.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: Audible Magic CorporationInventors: Vance Ikezoye, David Price Williams, Michael Thomas Edwards, Stephen John Grillos, John R. Publication number: 20060037831Abstract: A clutch release assembly includes a release fork with a counterbalance portion that causes the release fork to pivot into an assembly position. During assembly, the release fork is pivoted from the assembly position into an operating position. The release fork is mounted on a shaft, which is supported on a clutch housing. The release fork includes a center boss portion with an opening that receives the shaft. The release fork includes tines that extend outwardly from the center boss portion. The tines are positioned to engage a pair of release bearing pads when the release fork is in the operating position. The counterbalance portion holds the release fork in the assembly position. During the assembly, the tines are slid underneath the release bearing pads and then are pivoted into the operating position.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2004Publication date: February 23, 2006Inventors: John Grillo, Kenneth Picone
