Abstract: As an accessory to cannabis and other smokers, an increased capacity, environmental and ecological friendly, sustainable solution personal air filter is disclosed. The solution effectively and efficiently combines passive filter medium and properties of fluid mechanics to achieve the increased capacity. Additionally, a specific order of passive filter elements is provided to increase filtering efficiency. Wherever possible, biodegradable materials are employed such a biodegradable PLA polymers.

Abstract: An ionic personal air filter comprising, generally, a mouthpiece, a tube and high voltage electrodes configured thereto, is disclosed. Notably, the construction creates fluid dynamic properties needed to allow ionization and collection to take place. The unit is small and easily fits in a user's hand. In a preferred embodiment, the negative collector plate is realized with a ring structure have veins at an interior thereof; and the positive collector plate comprises a copper sheet rolled to a coil increasing surface area of electrodes while providing a compact unit.

In the preferred embodiment, a sleeve with parallel channels provides for the filter and e-cigarette to be juxtaposed however a mouthpiece for the filter and a mouthpiece for the e-cigarette are at opposite ends.

Abstract: As an accessory to smoke or vaporizer devices or integrated into same, or to accompany smokers in general, a personal air filter comprising multiple filter mediums and technologies, and various combinations thereof, including mechanical, chemical and electrostatic principles, is disclosed. The different mediums and components are sequentially incorporated into a compact unit that can fit easily into a user's bag, purse or pocket. Importantly, harmful organic compounds are targeted as well as nanoparticles. An additional feature is that the filter device is easily disassembled to replace and/or reuse inner and outer components.

The device is broadly a housing providing a semi-enclosure having a mouthpiece coupled thereto, the mouthpiece including dual check valve technology for an inhale and a reverse exhale function. Separate or multi-directional filters are provided for the exhale function, and also for filtering intermittent emissions occurring between user intakes. The configuration and filter technology herein, seeks to improve air quality in enclosed spaces, additionally further by minimizing or eliminating second hand smoke.
