Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing network directories. The first network directory is affiliated with a first application having entries native to the first application and the second network directory is affiliated with a second application and having entries native to the second application. An entry native to the first application is non-native to the second application and an entry native to the second application is non-native to the first application. According to one embodiment, the system includes an entry sorting module for sorting entries of the first and second directories based on the native application of the entry and a synchronization module in communication with the entry sorting module for updating entries in at least one of the first and second directories based on whether an entry native to the first application resides in the first directory.

Abstract: The invention relates to products useful for home laundering, and more particularly to adjustable strength bleaching compositions, highly advantageous packaging of such compositions, and a method of bleaching involving the combination of the two. More specifically, the invention concerns a highly practical and saleable laundry aid which can be used both on sensitive fabrics/dyes as an all-fabric safe oxygen bleach, and on less vulnerable fabrics/dyes as a much more effective hypohalite bleach of potency similar to that of liquid chlorine bleach. The invention is concerned with the use of an alkali metal halide activator with an oxygen bleach which is packaged in a two compartment package to keep the components separate before use.

Abstract: A high solids slurry of surfactant, inorganic builders and filler salts, which may be spray dried to produce a granular laundry detergent, is prepared by contacting mixed organic and inorganic acids, such as produced in the first stage of the oleum sulfonation of detergent alkylates, with a dry alkali metal carbonate and then with water while subjecting the ingredients and reaction mixture to a controlled mulling/smearing action.

Abstract: Granular peroxygen bleaching and laundering compositions containing a percarbonate as a source of available oxygen are stabilized by the addition of from 0.1 to 2.0 percent of a particulate siliceous matter such as amorphous silica. To prevent caking and promote flowability of the compositions, from 0.05 to 1.0 percent corn starch, diethyl phthalate or mixtures thereof is included.
