  • Patent number: 6834868
Abstract: A transformable creeper includes a base section and a head section. The base section and head section are positioned generally in a same plane in a supine position of the creeper. The head section is movable by way of at least one pair of pivotally mounted arms from the supine position into a seat position wherein the head section is disposed above the base section. A support member extends across a frame of the base section proximate to a transverse end thereof. The head section includes an end member that is longitudinally distanced from the ends of the head section frame and which rest on and is supported by the base section support member in the supine position of the creeper. A pair of spaced apart, downwardly projecting bumpers depend from an end rail that forms one extreme end of the head section.

  • Patent number: 6547264
Abstract: A service cart leg extender assembly for attachment to a leg of a service cart that lengthens the leg of the service cart to a chosen length. The leg extender assembly includes an apparatus that augments the leg of the service cart through an easy to accomplish, reversible effect. The leg extender assembly disposes the components of the service cart at a higher elevation without diminishing stability of the service cart. The leg extender assembly is also embodied in a two portion apparatus with an upper portion including a notch that allows for securing the leg extender assembly to a leg of the service cart. The leg extender assembly is also embodied in a two portion apparatus with an upper portion including a hole that allows for securing the leg extender assembly to a leg of the service cart. One such leg extender is connected to each leg of the service cart to be elevated.

  • Patent number: 6443413
Abstract: An improved adjustable jack stand combines a ratchet and pawl height maintenance mechanism with a pin and hole mechanism wherein the holes in the post coordinate with the teeth in the post so that any engagement between the pawl and a tooth ensures that a pair of holes in the base and the post are aligned to receive a pin. Additionally, the pin defines a circular cylindrical shape, and each of the pin support sections likewise defines a corresponding bottom half of a circle, thereby exposing the targeted hole in the ratchet bar for easy viewing by the mechanic. An elongated tether is provided and has one section connected to the body and another section connected to the pin.

  • Patent number: 6276665
Abstract: A mobile floor crane has a tubular, rigid stanchion that supports a boom pivotally connected to the top end of the stanchion. The base end of the stanchion is disposed between the adjacently disposed mid portions of the tubular, rigid legs of the crane. A support member extends transversely through the mid portions of the legs and the base end of the stanchion and supports the stanchion. In an alternative embodiment, the legs have telescoping members, and a rolling member is provided on the base end of the stanchion to provide mobility for the crane when the telescoping members are detached for storage.

  • Patent number: 6270056
Abstract: A portable hydraulic floor jack has a saddle member with an axial stem that is provided with an end collar having a flattened side surface. This permits the saddle member to be rotated to a singular orientation in which the flattened side surface of the end collar can bypass a locking pin that is permanently installed transversely of the receiving opening for the stem of the saddle member.
