    Abstract: A positioning assembly to be used with mechanized furniture for the purpose of raising and lowering furniture panels, as well as other components, wherein a slide element is reciprocally mounted within a sleeve structure so as to travel along the length thereof upon selective operation of a drive motor. A cable and pulley assembly is interconnected in driving relation between the drive motor and the slide element such that the slide element may be raised or lowered selectively upon reverse operation of the drive motor thereby causing raising or lowering, or other predetermined movement, of a predetermined panel or like component.
