  • Publication number: 20240086482
Abstract: A method, computer system, and a computer program product for recovering a hyperlink. In one embodiment, the method comprises obtaining an invoked hyperlink from a user. The hyperlink is received by the user to highlight a content. A browser is used to invoke the hyperlink so as to collect associated metadata and other information required to retrieve and open the originating application at any time. This associated metadata and other information is then stored and obtained at a later time by invoking the browser. In addition, responsive to the user searching for the hyperlink, the content can then be opened by the browser using the stored associated metadata and other information.

  • Publication number: 20210319518
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a damage assessment for a damaged property may be provided. The method may include receiving a damage report from a user associated with the damaged property, presenting an eligibility test to the user, and receiving a response to the eligibility test from the user's mobile device and determining whether the user is eligible based upon the response, such as based upon an amount of vehicle damage. The method may electronically activate a damages module on an application stored on the user's mobile device to generate a damage assessment. Based upon how the user sends the damage report, the system may adjust how and when the damage report is generated. In one aspect, functionality is provided that determines whether a damaged vehicle and/or insured is eligible for online vehicle damage estimation (such as based upon a limited extent of vehicle damage) and/or associated online insurance claim submission.

  • Patent number: 10997663
Abstract: A weather event computing device for transmitting weather notifications to policyholders is provided. The weather event computing device receives, from a weather reporting device, weather data for a region. The weather event computing device (i) determines from the weather data that the region is expected to experience a weather event, and (ii) identifies an insured property associated with the policyholder located within the region. A notification is transmitted to the policyholder's mobile device, advising the policyholder that the property may be impacted by the weather event. Pre and post-event drone or other aerial image data of insured properties may be used to estimate insurance claims for the insured, and facilitate prompt payout of insurance monies to those displaced or otherwise impacted by a weather event.
