  • Patent number: 9072368
Abstract: This document provides hammock systems and methods for using a hammock system. For example, a hammock support system can suspend a hammock over a vehicle by attaching first and second end connectors of a hammock to a pair of support structures, respectively, which are mated with corresponding receiving structures of a vehicle, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6070830
Abstract: A fixed geometry duct defining a gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle includes a plurality of circumferentially adjoining flat triangular facets and coaxial first and second openings at opposite ends thereof. A method of making the duct includes scribing a plurality of lines on a flat sheet metal plate to define the facets, and bending the plate at each of the lines to form the duct.

  • Patent number: 5996936
Abstract: An exhaust nozzle for a gas turbine engine includes a converging inlet duct disposed in flow communication with a diverging outlet duct at a throat therebetween. An ejection slot is disposed at the throat, and compressed air from the engine is selectively injected through the slot for fluidically varying flow area at the throat for exhaust gases from the engine.

  • Patent number: 5040437
Abstract: A corked bottle opener comprising a stationary shaft and a rotatable stem extending longitudinally from the shaft and mounted for axial movement relative thereto. An adjustably mounted retainer extends from the shaft and engages the neck of the bottle. A jaw member extends from the stem, but is held against rotation, engages the stopper. An actuator rotates the stem to move it axially and thereby raise the jaw member so as to remove the cork.

  • Patent number: 4875510
Abstract: A dovetailing jig has a base with a flat top surface notched along the back edge. A back on the jig has a flat front surface that is positioned above and at the rear of the top surface of the base while two side plates provide confronting flat side faces. Two clamping cylinders extend between the side plates to clamp work pieces to the top surface of the base and to the front surface of the back. In use, the jig slides on a bench surface equipped with a stationary router blade.

  • Patent number: 4350322
Abstract: A high torque actuator for a plug valve of the type having a body with a central chamber having diametrically opposed inlet and outlet ports and a plug within the chamber having a transverse passage therethrough and an upstanding stem. The plug has a first, upper, valve-open position with its transverse passage in alignment with the inlet and outlet ports of the chamber, and a second, lower valve-closed position wherein its transverse passage is oriented at 90.degree. to the chamber inlet and outlet ports and seal means on the plug are in sealing engagement with the chamber walls about the inlet and outlet ports. Drive cam means are introduced between a coupling and the valve stem in order to increase torque output of inclined cam slots without changing or increasing the height of the valve body and plug.

The top of the chamber is closed by a bonnet having a packing gland through which the plug stem extends. The actuator comprises a hollow cylindrical yoke, the lower end of which is affixed to the bonnet with the plug stem extending into the yoke. The upper end of the yoke is provided with a bearing cap.
