  • Patent number: 4171044
Abstract: A belt-type conveyor having an endless belt supported on a pair of spaced end rollers. The upper reach of the belt is adapted to have articles supported thereon for transporting thereof. A drive system is interconnected to both end rollers to simultaneously rotatably drive same, which end rollers in turn drive the belt. This drive system permits the upper reach of the belt to be maintained relatively free of tension so that the upper reach will readily conform to a guide structure which is positioned thereunder for slidably supporting same. The conveyor is particularly suitable for use as an inclined conveyor to permit lifting of articles on the upper belt reach, which upper reach can be bent upwardly from a horizontal position without requiring top guide rails or other hold-down devices.

  • Patent number: 4076478
Abstract: Method and means for engaging a molded component by an externally positioned handling device during an injection molding operation and prior to the opening of the mold. A passageway is provided to the exterior of the mold from a mold cavity which latter may be a cavity for the forming of a molded part or it may be a runner, the sprue or some combination of two or more thereof. A handling device is positioned adjacent the mold to receive molten material from said passageway during the molding operation and thereby establish a solid connection from said handling device to said molding component. When the mold opens, said molding component may then be removed from the mold with control thereover retained by the handling device for such further processing as desired.

  • Patent number: 3976046
Abstract: A portable charcoal burning grill comprising a first open top receptacle and a first cover therefor pivotally secured thereto and movable between open and closed positions and a second open top receptacle and second cover therefor pivotally secured thereto and pivotal between open and closed positions relative thereto, the second open top receptacle and the second cover therefor being mounted inside the first open top receptacle. A holding device is provided for holding the second cover in the open position when the first cover is also in the open position. A food holding grill is removably engaged with the second cover when the second cover is in the open position and extends over the second open top receptacle. A charcoal holding grid is provided in the second open top receptacle and adjusting means are provided for permitting an adjustment of the vertical spacing between the food holding grill and the charcoal holding grid.
