    Abstract: An apparatus for holding a child on the lap of an adult while traveling in a moving vehicle. The apparatus generally comprises a body-surrounding means, such as a harness, strap, vest, torso band, woven member, fabric belt, or other structure positionable about the body of a child and attachable to some stationarily anchored member or portion of the vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the body surrounding means is attachable to a standard lap seat belt, such as those provided to adult passengers on commercial airliners.
