  • Patent number: 12543242
Abstract: A UE receives configuration for a common uplink channel to be used by the user equipment to communicate with a BS concerning cell DTX operation by the BS. The UE determines that a cell DTX operation has already started or the BS has signaled that cell DTX operation will start. The UE transmits, over the common uplink channel, an indication of data transmission need concerning cell DTX operation. The BS sends the configuration and starts the cell DTX operation or signals that the same will start. The BS receives the indication of data transmission need concerning the cell DTX operation. The BS determines whether to stay in or abandon the cell DTX operation based at least partly on the received indication of data transmission need.

  • Publication number: 20250324482
Abstract: A method is provided that includes receiving a configuration of parameters for discontinuous reception (DRX) operation in which a user equipment monitors a downlink channel. The parameters include at least one timer that specifies a duration in which the user equipment is to be in an active state to monitor the downlink channel. The method includes detecting particular channel activity. The particular channel activity marks a beginning of a window during which the at least one timer is to run for the duration specified by the at least one timer. The method includes determining a proximity of the window to a next active time of the discontinuous active times. The method includes reducing the duration of the at least one timer, and thereby the window during which the at least one timer is to run, based on the proximity of the window to the next active time.

  • Publication number: 20250324483
Abstract: A method is provided that includes receiving a configuration of parameters for discontinuous reception (DRX) operation in which a user equipment monitors a downlink channel. The parameters include a retransmission timer and at least one other timer. The method includes detecting expiration of a round trip time (RTT) timer for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. The method includes starting the retransmission timer based on the expiration of the RTT timer to monitor the downlink channel for a particular downlink transmission. The method includes receiving the particular downlink transmission, as the at least one other timer is running during one of the discontinuous active times. The method includes extending expiration of the at least one other timer based on the particular downlink transmission received as the at least one other timer is running.

  • Patent number: 12052792
Abstract: User Equipment (UE), methods, and software that selectively transfer data to a mobile network. In one embodiment, the UE identifies data buffered for one or more applications miming on the UE while the UE is in non-connected mode, determines a number of other UEs receiving signaling messages on a control plane to transition from non-connected mode to connected mode, and estimates a load on the control plane based on the number of other UEs receiving signaling messages to transition from non-connected mode to connected mode. The UE defers a transition from non-connected mode to connected mode to delay a transfer of the data from the UE to the mobile network over the radio interface when the load on the control plane exceeds a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240080965
Abstract: A method for producing a neutrons includes triggering a raising or a lowering of a temperature of a pyroelectric crystal of less than about 40° C. to produce a voltage of negative polarity of at least ?100 keV on a surface of a deuterated or tritiated target coupled thereto. A deuterium ion source is pulsed to produce a deuterium ion beam. The accelerating of the deuterium ion beam is achieved by accelerating voltage of the pyroelectric crystal toward the deuterated or tritiated target to produce neutrons. Furthermore, the pyroelectric crystal, the deuterated or tritiated target, and the deuterium ion source are coupled to a common support. The method also includes throwing the common support housing the pyroelectric crystal, the deuterated or tritiated target, and the deuterium ion source near an unknown threat for identification thereof.
