Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for improving business processes. In one aspect, a method includes defining, for a workstation, a metric that is a function of multiple process variables, providing, to a Lean practitioner candidate, information that suffices to allow the Lean practitioner candidate to determine outcomes of independently applying a same, pre-defined amount of Lean Six Sigma-related change to each of two or more of the process variables, and obtaining information that specifies the outcomes from the Lean practitioner candidate.
