  • Publication number: 20240085220
Abstract: A method of determining any offset between: a scale axis of a disc scale member having a planar surface on which is provided a series of scale features defining a scale that extends and is centred around the scale axis, the scale axis extending normal to the planar surface; and the axis of rotation of a machine part on which the disc scale member is mounted, wherein the axis of rotation and the scale axis of the disc scale member are substantially parallel. The method includes: determining any offset between the scale axis and the axis of rotation via inspection of an axially-extending surface provided with the disc scale member.

  • Publication number: 20190333314
Abstract: For a raffle tournament game, randomly selecting a predetermined number of event codes, for each event code, randomly selecting a playing symbol from O to 9 for each place value of the total number of tickets dispensed to players up to one of the following; zero place values away from the total, one place value away from the total, two place values away from the total, three place values away from the total, four place values away from the total, five place values away from the total, six place values away from the total, seven place values away from the total, eight place values away from the total, nine place values away from the total, the event code identifies playing symbols which need to match the specific subset of playing symbols on the raffle array, whereby matching raffle array to event code wins an entry into a tournament event,

  • Publication number: 20050191404
Abstract: A method provides a dry granular sugar ingredient, which improves the production of compressed, tableted confection products by enabling them to be formed with a higher initial strength to permit improved handling and packaging with fewer broken and chipped tablets. In the first part of the process, sucrose is ground to a suitable size for processing in the screw-fed mixer. Simultaneously, a corn syrup solution is prepared for mixing with the sucrose in the mixer. Both the ground sucrose and the corn syrup solution are then fed to the screw-fed mixer. After achieving uniform blending of the ingredients, the moist mixture is dropped at to conveyor which brings it to a sieve, which breaks up lumps prior to feeding to a vibratory bed drier in the preferred form. From the drier, the material is passed to a screen separator where the particle size range for the product is finalized. Correctly sized product is recovered and mixed with flavor to be pressed into a candy.
