  • Patent number: 11662474
Abstract: A receiver authenticates a wideband (WB) signal from global navigation satellites (GNSS) using a narrowband (NB) signal that is also transmitted from the satellites. The NB signal includes segments that are transmitted in time and frequency slots of successive transmission frames. The NB signal is less susceptible to a smart WB jammer. Also, the NB signal segments may also be transmitted at a relative power level with respect to the WB signal, where the relative power level may vary in a known pattern so as to distinguish the WB signal of the satellite from a stronger WB signal from a smart jammer.

  • Patent number: 8234840
Abstract: A form, fill and seal system having a product fill assembly, a tube forming assembly and a fitment securing assembly. The system allows for the relative positioning of the fitment that is to be applied to the film that forms the bags, at various points along the film by having the fitment securing assembly relatively positionable with respect to the tube forming assembly. In turn, with adjustments, a fitment can be located at a number of locations on a finished bag.

  • Publication number: 20070217391
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for setting congestion levels for a plurality of routes to a common destination are disclosed. According to one method, a transfer controlled (TFC) message concerning a destination is received at a signaling message routing node that maintains a plurality of routes to a common destination. The signaling message routing node tests a congestion level of each of the routes to the destination. The signaling message routing node sets congestion levels for the routes based on results of the testing.

  • Publication number: 20070014294
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for reducing the likelihood of signaling link congestion on a failing or recovering signaling linkset are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method for reducing or eliminating congestion on a recovered link in a previously failed linkset due to the routing of post-global title (GT) translated signaling message traffic is disclosed. When the first link in a previously failed linkset becomes available, routes associated with the recovering linkset are marked as restricted. GT translated messages are directed to the lowest cost route that is marked as allowed. If no routes are marked as allowed, messages are directed to the lowest cost route that is marked as restricted. When a predetermined number or percentage of the links in a linkset become available, routes associated with the recovering linkset are marked as allowed.

  • Publication number: 20070001472
Abstract: A gripping assembly for loading a substantially filled inner container having a plurality of comer regions into an outer container. The gripping assembly comprises a frame and a plurality of gripping arms. Each of the gripping arms further includes a first end and a second end. The first end is movably coupled to the frame. The second end is distally spaced from the first end. The plurality of gripping arms are positionable so as to substantially correspond with the plurality of comer regions of the substantially filled inner container. Additionally, the controlled movement of the gripping arms relative to the frame facilitates retention and release of the plurality of comer regions of the inner container.

  • Publication number: 20060193250
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for thermal management of a processor associated with a network interface are disclosed. According to one method, message traffic is sent and received using a first processor associated with a first network interface. A temperature associated with the first processor is determined. Message traffic is switched from the first processor to a second processor in response to the temperature associated with the first processor having a predetermined relationship with respect to a threshold value. The threshold value can be less than a thermal shutdown level of the first processor.

  • Publication number: 20060036606
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for multicast compression and pacing are disclosed. In one method, messages relating to events that affect or require use of a database maintained by multiple processing modules in a distributed processing system are received. The messages are buffered and placed in a third message in a manner that preserves time ordering of the messages. The packed message is then multicast to the processing modules. Each processing module processes messages that are addressed to it. A method for pacing multicast messages destined for the processing modules is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6813564
Abstract: The invention is a method for monitoring subsidence of the sea-bed (14) of a survey area (8) caused by compaction of an underground hydrocarbon reservoir (1), and comprises the following steps: Conducting at least two series (S1, . . . ,Si, . . . ,Sm) of time-indexed depth measurements (13a, . . . ,13n), with separation in time &Dgr; between the measurement series characteristic of a significantly detectable long-term change of seafloor elevation due to compaction to take place in the reservoir. Measurements are time-indexed and corrected for tidal depth variations. Depth measurements (13) are conducted on survey stations (2) arranged on benchmarks (6) which have settled in the locally consolidated seabed (14). To handle short-term depth variations several stationary time-indexed short-time local reference depth measurement series (19r) are conducted at short-term local reference stations (18r) at benchmarks (6) during each separate measurement series (Si).
