  • Patent number: 11121993
Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein enable a system to drive collaboration between users by analyzing user interactions with productivity applications. The system provides intelligence mechanisms that work in concert with telemetry mechanisms to create interactive experiences that encourage users to embrace technology, improve productivity, and increase collaboration. In some configurations, the system can drive collaboration between users by correlating signals that define user interactions with individual productivity applications with contextual data that indicates how time has been allocated. During, or upon completion of a group activity, the system can identify individuals of interest and enable a user to readily share relevant files with the identified individuals.

  • Patent number: 10839149
Abstract: Automatic generation of document templates based on recognized composition element patterns in a group of clustered documents is provided. Composition elements used in documents are typically unique to a particular user or to a group of users. An automated template generation system detects composition element patterns in documents associated with a given user. Sequences of composition elements from one document are aligned with sequences of composition elements of one or more other documents. The aligned sequences are scored to generate a document distance matrix. The documents are clustered together based on the alignment scores and a document template is generated for each corresponding cluster of documents. In one or more aspects, selecting a document template and updating it results in a modified document template or, in certain cases, a new document template. The generated document templates are displayed in a user interface for selection by a user.

  • Publication number: 20200296510
Abstract: Sound devices such as hearing aids and headphones configured for intelligent information capturing are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a sound device is a hearing aid or a noise-canceling headphone. The sound device includes a microphone, a speaker, a processor, and a memory containing a set of sound models each corresponding to a known sound. Upon receiving a digital sound signal representing an ambient sound captured via the microphone, the sound device can determine whether the digital sound signal includes a signal profile that matches the sound signature of one of the sound models stored in the memory. In response to determining that the digital sound signal has a signal profile that matches the sound signature of one of the sound models, the sound device can output, via the speaker, an audio message to the user identifying the known sound while suppressing the captured ambient sound from the environment.
