  • Patent number: 11587292
Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention disclosed herein provide techniques for generating a virtual object for a VR/AR environment in response to a trigger. A VR/AR application executing on a client device receives a media content item. The VR/AR application detects an event trigger associated with the media content item. The VR/AR application generates at least a portion of a virtual object based on the event trigger. The VR/AR application displays the media content item and the at least a portion of the virtual object on a display associated with a user device.

  • Patent number: 11525649
Abstract: Several examples of a dual remote control and crew-served weapon station are described herein that uniquely provide different operating modes, any one of which can be quickly and efficiently selected based on outputs from various system sensors (e.g., switches and buttons). For example, a first operating mode is a mode in which the weapon is remotely steered and fired (e.g., remote controlled). A second operating mode is a mode in which a weapon cradle is stabilized by a gimbal and the weapon is aimed and fired by a local operator (e.g., crew-served stabilized). A third operating mode is a mode in which the cradle is manually steered and the weapon is fired by the local operator (e.g., full manual).

  • Publication number: 20180130152
Abstract: A subject property and a corresponding updatable pool of property sales are displayed in a map image. Property characteristics that define the pool of recent sales are manipulated using an interface that lists the characteristics and provides updatable ranges. Once a satisfactory set of ranges is established, the corresponding sub-market for the subject property is recalculated using only those properties that satisfy the new property characteristics criteria. A map image automatically updates to show those properties included in the updated pool, and those that were excluded. A model-based valuation also automatically updates and is listed among property data for the subject property.

  • Patent number: 9656169
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and displaying a graphical representation of a player type profile. A respective player type profile may be generated for each of a plurality of users of a virtual environment that characterizes each user by a predominant player type. Player types may be defined by the designers of the virtual environment. The player type profile may be generated by logging the actions performed by the user when connected to the virtual environment and then analyzing the actions to determine the best characterization for the user.

  • Publication number: 20160283473
Abstract: Method and computer program products for implementing an identity control system are disclosed. Documents are abstracted by mapping non-identifying words in the documents to non-identifying concepts that are designated by codes, which codes are linked to non-identifying descriptions and may optionally non-identifying values. Similarly, identifying words in the documents are abstracted by mapping identifying and/or potentially identifying words in the documents to identifying concepts that are designated by codes, which codes are themselves non-identifying and have non-identifying descriptions and may optionally have values, which values may be identifying or may be obfuscations of the identifying information. Non-identifying codes and optional values, the words that are mapped to those codes and stop-words are indexed as non-identifying index data. Identifying codes and optional values, and the words that are mapped to those codes are indexed as identifying index data.

  • Patent number: 8322269
Abstract: Disclosed herein are stabilized weapon mount systems that allow a gunner (i.e. operator of a weapon) to mount and operate a standard weapon in a manner similar to a stand-alone weapon while compensating for the motion of the platform. The system includes an aiming gimbal that is movable by an operator during stabilization into an aiming orientation directed toward a target and a stabilization gimbal nested within the aiming gimbal and adapted to securely couple to a weapon. The stabilization gimbal and aiming gimbal are mechanically coupled by a control unit such that the stabilization gimbal is moved by the control unit and the aiming gimbal is not moved by the control unit. A stabilization device automatically commands the control unit to move the stabilization gimbal relative to the aiming gimbal using the motors to correct for the base movement and maintain the aiming orientation directed toward the target.

  • Patent number: 6033882
Abstract: Inter alia, an enzyme, a 2-hydroxy carboxylic acid dehydrogenase, characterised in that it is obtainable from Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. Bulgaricus and in that it catalyses the production of (R)-hydroxy derivatives of 2-keto acids, which are unsubstituted in the 3-position, but which may be substituted in the 4-position or beyond is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5770410
Abstract: A method for modifying the specificity or efficiency of an enzyme, while retaining its catalytic activity, is disclosed. The method is characterized by selecting an enzyme, the tertiary structure of which is substantially known or deduced; identifying a single specificity or efficiency-related region of the enzyme; identifying or constructing unique restriction sites bounding the identified region in the DNA coding therefor; generating a DNA sequence which corresponds to at least a portion of the identified region, except that the nucleotides of at least one codon are randomized, using the generated DNA sequence to replace the original such sequence; expressing the DNA including the generated DNA sequence; and selecting for a desired modification so that the DNA coding therefor may be isolated; the randomized DNA being generated by means of a PCR assembly method. Enzyme generated using this method, and having enhanced specificity or efficiency, are also disclosed.
