    Abstract: A method and system for comparing network configuration data stored in a wireless communication network with parameters that depend on the physical configuration of the network is provided. Subscriber wireless communication devices operating in the network provide measurement data. From the measurement data, at least one first parameter is selected or derived, the first parameter depending on the physical configuration of the network. From network configuration data stored in the wireless communication network, at least one second parameter that corresponds to the at least one first parameter is selected. Any discrepancy between the values of the first and second parameters is then identified. Analysis of the discrepancies may reveal errors or omissions in the stored network configuration data, such as missing entries in the neighbors table for a cell site. Faults in the physical network may also be revealed.

The outer surface of the “closed” end (12; 22) is of uniform arcuate section and of generally hemispherical configuration. The “open” end (13) of the member (11) is provided with internal threading (16), while complementary external threading (24) is provided on the “open” end (23) of the member (21). In use, the first dilator (10) and second dilator (20) are joined together by engaging the threading (16; 24). A flange (25) provided on the second dilator (20) provides a continuously smooth outer surface.

    Abstract: Apparatus for displaying an image suspended in space comprises an object (1) for display, a retroreflector (2) receiving light from the object, a beamsplitter (3) in a path for light from the object to the retroreflector, and a converging lens (4) between the beamsplitter and the retroreflector. The beamsplitter makes an oblique angle to the direction (6) of propagation of the light such that it transmits some light and reflects the rest. Light from the beamsplitter passes through the lens to the retroreflector which reflects it back through the lens to the beamsplitter. This retroreflected light is reflected and/or transmitted by the beamsplitter to form a real image (5) suspended in space. The use of a lens between the beamsplitter and the retroreflector improves image resolution and viewing angle, reduces the area of retroreflector required, and allows low cost bead retroreflectors to be used in high resolution displays.

    Abstract: A four-wheeled toy vehicle provided with a driver's cab and a steering post therebehind which extends above the body of the vehicle and makes it possible for a player to steer the vehicle from its exterior. Each front wheel has a short axle which extends transversely through a bearing that is pivotally supported on a vertical axis at right angles to the axle whereby the wheel is steerable. The steering post passes through the chassis and terminates in a crank at right angles to the post at the underside of the vehicle. The crank is pivotally connected to the leg of a T-shaped lever having arms extending outwardly from opposite sides of the leg, the lever fulcrum being at the junction of the leg and the arms whereby rotation of the crank in one direction by the steering post causes the arms to swing in the opposite direction. Each arm is pivotally connected to the bearing of a respective front wheel to effect steering thereof as the arms swing.

    Abstract: A fishing rod capable of increased casting distances is made of two (2) concentric-frictionally engaged blanks and includes a stiff, but not rigid butt zone incorporating most of the first blank, a fast tapered mid-zone overlapping both blanks and a flexible tip zone at the distal end of the second blank. The blanks have inner diameter of different taper rates per unit of length in the various zones to achieve the desired characteristics. The inner diameter taper rate of the mid-zone is, importantly, an order of magnitude greater than the taper rate of the butt zone. Mandrels employed to fabricate the respective blanks are tapered accordingly.

    Abstract: A toy simulating a walking animal that includes a body on which axles are mounted in spaced relation, wheels being mounted on the axles for rotation therewith. Levers simulating legs of an animal are secured to the wheels in offset eccentric relation and are reciprocably movable upon rotation of the wheels. A spring assembly is interconnected to the front axle and is responsive to the withdrawal and release of a draw-string for producing rotation of the front axle and a corresponding propelling movement of the body. The legs as secured to the wheels are constructed and arranged for reciprocable movement upon rotation of the wheels and propelling movement of the body for imparting a simulated walking action of the toy animal.
