There is at least one door at the upper end for mail to be placed into the deposit port. A normally open sealable bag is located in the collection chamber for receiving mail and for being sealed when the mail is to be removed from the container. There is a bag holder constructed and arranged to hold a bag in place and normally open so that in a first position, mail placed into the deposit port falls downwardly through the bag holder and into a bag in the collection chamber and which bag may be preliminarily sealed while in this position, and in a second position, the bag may be more securely sealed and removed from the bag holder.

Abstract: A light source includes a lamp and housing. The housing has a right-angle form with a first leg for the lamp, a second leg for connecting leads for the lamp and a jointure between the legs having an aperture allowing access to the connecting leads and lead-ins. The aperture has a bottom containing openings for the lamp leads-in and a contiguous sidewall containing openings for the connecting leads. The lead-ins and connecting leads are attached in the aperture to form lugs. A cover for closing the aperture has an area matching the area of the aperture and has outer and inner surfaces. The inner surface has a central boss and depending flanges that, when fitted into the aperture after a sealant has been dispensed therein, the boss extends between the lugs and the flanges extend outside the lugs, serving to displace the sealant and force it to surround the lugs.

Abstract: Turnkey maintenance of a customer's aircraft fleet is managed by a single management service provider (MSP) controlling integrated maintenance and materials services from a central operations site. The MSP converts data received directly from on-board aircraft systems into information it uses to manage maintenance service providers and parts suppliers. The MSP contracts with and manages maintenance, repair and overhaul organizations (MROs) who perform the maintenance on the customers' aircraft at line and base stations. The MSP either remotely manages part inventories at the customer's site, or manages suppliers who deliver the parts to the MROs. Maintenance planning, scheduling and execution information is exchanged between the MSP, MROs, part suppliers and the customers through a shared data communication network controlled by the MSP. The MSP charges the customer for the maintenance services based on a flat rate per unit of aircraft flying time.

Abstract: A multi-function body-powered prosthetic wrist unit that is attachable to the end of a prosthesis on an arm and provides over 270° of smooth pronation and supination rotation with a plurality of indexed rotation locking positions, wrist flexion and extension from 0 to 50° with three locking positions, and a quick disconnect connection for attachment of a variety of terminal devices thereto. Integral cable release assemblies provide body powered release for pronation and supination rotation and flexion and extension. Cable operated locks can be retracted or released passively by body-powered harnessing, and allow momentary (pull-to-release) or alternating (pull/relax) locking functions.

Abstract: A redundant fan system for a computer includes two fans installed in series with at least one of the fans having collapsible blades. A fan system of this type reduces the fan inefficiency caused when one fan in a series mounted pair is not operating, either because it is free-wheeling or in a locked rotor condition. When non-operational, the fan blades of the collapsible fan fold inward due to airflow generated by the operational fan over the collapsible blades. The ability of the blades to fold reduces the inefficiency of the operational fan, having less of an effect on fan life. Also, because the flow of air is less restricted, proper airflow can be maintained, thus preventing overheating of the computer.
