  • Patent number: 11316664
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system for data characterization and tracking via cohesive information units. In particular, the system may be structured to define a cohesive information unit (“CIU”) which may serve as the fundamental functional unit that serves as the basis for data electronically stored, transferred, modified, and/or copied within computing systems. Each CIU may be electronically associated with metadata which serves to identify the CIU as the CIU is stored and/or in motion. Rather than allowing applications and/or users to change the data within the CIU directly, the system may write subsequent CIU's to reflect proposed changes by the applications and/or users. In this way, the system provides a secure and reliable way to maintain authenticity of data within the entity system.

  • Patent number: 11280009
Abstract: A system to remove sodium and Sulfur from a feed stream containing alkali metal sulfides and polysulfides in addition to heavy metals. The system includes an electrolytic cell having an anolyte compartment housing an anode in contact with an anolyte. The anolyte includes alkali metal sulfides and polysulfides dissolved in a polar organic solvent. The anolyte includes heavy metal ions. A separator includes an ion conducting membrane and separates the anolyte compartment from a catholyte compartment that includes a cathode in contact with a catholyte. The catholyte includes an alkali ion-conductive liquid. A power source applies a voltage to the electrolytic cell high enough to reduce the alkali metal and oxidize Sulfur ions to allow recovery of the alkali metal and elemental sulfur. The ratio of sodium to Sulfur is such that the open circuit potential of the electrolytic cell is greater than about 2.3V.

  • Patent number: 11274613
Abstract: A control system and method relating to operation of an internal combustion engine, particularly an engine for powering an unmanned aerial vehicle. The engine has a combustion chamber and a throttle for regulating fluid flow to the combustion chamber, the throttle being operable under the control of an electronic control unit. With the control system and method there are first and second modes optionally available for operation of the engine. In the first mode the engine is operable at a throttle setting set by a request from a first remote controller (e.g. a ground-based controller) via a second on-board controller. In the second mode the engine is operable at a prescribed minimum throttle setting asserted by the electronic control unit which limits the authority of the on-board controller. The engine is caused to operate in the second mode if a particular throttle setting determined from a request of the remote controller is less than the prescribed minimum throttle setting.
