  • Patent number: 8397438
Abstract: Flashing systems for use with metal and non-metal roof systems are provided having a generally planar lead base defining an aperture, a generally cylindrical structure attached to the base in surrounding relation with the aperture and projecting upward therefrom, and an adhesive sealing membrane attached to the bottom of the base for connecting the flashing to a roof. A flexible plastic downspout allows flashing system to adapt to various roof slope and roof penetration configurations. The downspout may be include a plurality of diametrically reducing stepped sections such that the installing technician is able to simply cut the stepped plastic downspout to the size that will accommodate the roof penetration pipe.

  • Patent number: 8074958
Abstract: A concrete lintel form includes a pair of elongate side members for installation in opposing face-to-face relation spanning a structure opening, such as a window or door opening, for fabrication of concrete beams or composite concrete masonry beams. Each form member comprises a generally vertical sidewall having inwardly projecting top and bottom legs running the substantially the entire length of the member. The top legs function to support masonry block stacked on top of the form to allow for the construction of a composite cast in place beam. The bottom legs function to support a bottom form that may be inserted after masonry has been stacked and secured with mortar, thereby allowing the workers to leave an opening that allows mortar droppings to fall through and not collect in the form. Each form member includes at least one outwardly projecting stiffener running substantially the entire length of the member between the top and bottom.

  • Publication number: 20070101664
Abstract: Improved flashing systems are disclosed for use with metal and non-metal roof systems. A lead flashing apparatus is provided comprising a generally planar lead base defining an aperture, a generally cylindrical structure attached to the base in surrounding relation with the aperture and projecting upward therefrom, and an adhesive sealing membrane attached to the bottom of the base for connecting the flashing to a roof The adhesive sealing membrane is not only effective in securing the flashing to the underlying roof, but further functions as a gasket separating the lead flashing base from a metal roof In a second embodiment, lead flashing having a generally planar base and upwardly projecting stack is adapted with a non-metallic coating. In a third embodiment, a flashing structure is fabricated from plastic, and preferably includes a sloped base with a tapered stack and is suitable for use on virtually any roof system.

  • Publication number: 20070079883
Abstract: An air divider having a shutoff plate for converting row spacing on a seeding implement. A reversible shutoff plate has a closed position wherein one end of the plate extends through a slot and completely blocks a leg of a Y-shaped output end of the divider. By reversing the shutoff plate, the leg is opened to air and material flow. The shutoff plate is retained in a clip or post adjacent the slot in both the closed and open positions. A seal closes the slot if the shutoff plate is not inserted and permits the shutoff plate option to be selected at any time.

  • Patent number: 6506409
Abstract: A method of making a dosage device comprises mixing a suspension concentrate comprising at least one active ingredient which is in solid form at 25° C., and which has an average particle size of less than 10 microns, in a carrier liquid in which the active ingredient is non-soluble or sparingly soluble, and a drying agent for the carrier liquid. The drying agent takes up at least some of the carrier liquid of the suspension concentrate, thereby to dry the active ingredient at least partly and to obtain a mixture comprising the active ingredient and the drying agent. The mixture is compressed into at least one unitary dosage device.

  • Patent number: 5922337
Abstract: A method of making a dosage device is provided including the steps: admixing at least one active ingredient which is a pesticide in solid form at 25.degree. C., is sparingly soluble in water, and has an average particle size of less than 5 microns, with a disintegrating agent, to provide a compressible mix; and compressing the compressible mix into a unitary dosage device capable of disintegrating in water to form a suspension of the active ingredient of a particle size less than about 5 microns in the water.

  • Patent number: 4195083
Abstract: A self-emulsifiable liquid pesticidal concentrate comprising: (a) from 65 to 95 percent by weight of a liquid pesticide compound or a liquid mixture of a liquid pesticide compound and a solid pesticide compound, (b) an emulsifier, and (c) 0% to 10% by weight of a solvent for the pesticide compound. In the method of application the pesticide concentrate is mixed with water so that a pesticidal emulsion dip is formed, having a total pesticide compound content of from 0.005 to 0.5 parts by weight per 100 parts by volume of emulsion. An animal infested with arthropod ectoparasites is treated with the pesticidal emulsion dip to eliminate and protect the animal from these parasites.
