  • Publication number: 20260118173
Abstract: A monolithic, fully-immersed spectrometer using crossed cylindrical lenses enables independent focusing of the incoming beam along the two principal axes, e.g. x-axis and y-axis, perpendicular to the optical axis. A first lens “flattens” the beam before entering the body of a second curved, reflective lens, so the second lens only needs to focus in one axis. This restricts the curvature to 1-dimension and therefore reduces the thickness of the device by an order of magnitude compared to a design based on spherical lenses. A cylindrical-based design greatly increases manufacturability and scalability.

  • Patent number: 11286751
Abstract: A power source system including a plurality of cells. The power source system uses electrical charge or current generated by a reaction in at least one of the cells to provide at least one operating material to at least one other of the cells. Optionally, the power source system uses the electrical charge generated by the reaction in the at least one of the cells to provide the at least one operating material to the at least one other of the cells only when the state of charge of the at least one of the cells is equal to or below a threshold or when the use of the cell is equal to or above a threshold. Optionally, in an initial or non-operational state, one or more or each of the cells is dry or without the at least one operating material and the power source system is configured to selectively switch at least one of the plurality of cells from the non-operational state to an operational state by providing the at least one operating material to the at least one cell.

  • Patent number: 11028671
Abstract: A turbine has a flow pathway with an inlet in communication with the fluid channel. A rotor is disposed in the flow pathway and is rotatable around a rotation axis under the action of fluid flowing along the flow pathway. The rotation axis of the rotor is oblique to an axis extending along the fluid channel. The outlet of flow pathway may return fluid to the fluid channel. The turbine may also be provided with a flow control arrangement so as to vary the flow of fluid past the rotor and to prevent the rotor from damage. The rotor may be positioned apart from the fluid channel and so as not to obstruct the fluid channel.

  • Publication number: 20210122512
Abstract: A packaging system includes a loading area configured to receive a product and a pusher assembly including a pusher arm and a support. The pusher assembly is switchable between a bundling orientation and a case packing orientation. In the bundling orientation, the support is disposed at a first end of the pusher arm. In the case packing orientation, the support is disposed at a second end of the pusher aim. The pusher assembly moves the product in a first direction from the loading area, along a bundling path, and to a bundler when in the bundling orientation. Conversely, the pusher assembly moves the product in a second direction from the loading area, along a case packing path, and into a case when in the case packing orientation.
