  • Patent number: 7149975
Abstract: This invention provides an improved graphical user interface (GUI) for optical network administration. The GUI allows a user to view a network topology in which only those nodes at which channel traffic may be added to and/or dropped from a muxed signal are displayed. The GUI also provides a view of optical components through which data is transmitted on a selected route, and a view of the individual channels which comprise the selected route. Finally, the GUI allows the user to view information relating to transmitters and receivers associated with the channel signals being transmitted along the selected route.

  • Patent number: 6738809
Abstract: To provide telephony-like interfaces to a computer network, a computer system has a visual display device that continually displays a network status icon indicating network status information. The icon can have segments corresponding to different communications environments, and the icon and the segments will change some characteristic, such as shape, size, or color, to indicate the presence of some network event or the status of some network parameter.

  • Patent number: 6019338
Abstract: The angle of a desktop terminal such as a telephone can be easily adjusted with the combination of a stand and a tilt unit control device integrated within a lower surface of the terminal. The terminal is pivotally connected to the stand. The terminal is held at a particular angle by engagement of a tooth on the tilt unit control device, with a serration on a rear surface of the tilt unit of the stand. To change the angle of the terminal, the user depresses a handle of the tilt unit control device which pivots the tooth of the device away from the tilt unit thereby disengaging the tooth from the serration on the tilt unit. The user then pivots the terminal to the preferred angle and depresses the handle, thereby engaging the tooth with a different serration on the tilt unit.

  • Patent number: 5269231
Abstract: A central tubular post pivotally mounts respective right and left shelf plates orthogonally relative to the central post, with the right and left shelf plates having orthogonally and fixedly directed therethrough respective right and left post members. A modification of the invention includes a mounting structure relative to the right and left shelves, as well as auxiliary illumination structure.

  • Patent number: 5107688
Abstract: Disclosed is an integrally molded plastic clip for supporting coils in a condensor coil grid of a refrigerator or the like, comprising a mounting bracket for mounting said clip to a surface of the refrigerator and articulated sections having a hook for connection to a first coil segment of the coils and movable from a first retracted position wherein the first coil segment is closely adjacent the surface to a second extended position spaced outwardly therefrom. The articulated means comprise two sections, a first section pivotally connected at one end to the bracket and pivotally connected at its other end to an end of a second section, the other end of the second section includes the hook. Lock means extend from the mounting bracket below the hook for detachably locking to the clip a second coil segment of the coil grid below the first coil segment when the clip is in the first position.

  • Patent number: 5063274
Abstract: A plastic insulator for holding electrified wire comprises a support for an electrified wire and a connector device for selectively connecting the support to structures of different types. The connector device includes arms which have fastener receiving holes or apertures by means of which the support may be connected to a wooden post structure with separate fasteners. The arms also have oral apertures by means of which the support may be connected to a non-conductive rod structure without separate fasteners.
