  • Patent number: 11879263
Abstract: A spray diffuser for a pool cleaner is coupled to the end of the tail sweep hose which expels pressurized water out of the end of the hose. The diffuser includes a flow shaping nozzle configured to form a diverging pressurized water stream. The shaping nozzle can be attached directly to the end of the hose with a flow obstruction of the shaping nozzle immediately adjacent the flow discharge. A dissipating portion dissipates the pressurized water stream when the spray diffuser is positioned above the surface of the water to prevent water spraying out of the pool.

  • Patent number: 10062162
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method to segment optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. The present system uses a hybrid method that employs both Bayesian level sets (BLS) and graph-based segmentation algorithms. The system first identifies retinal tissue within an OCT image using the BLS algorithms. The identified retinal tissue is then further segmented using the graph-based segmentation algorithms.

  • Patent number: 10062034
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for obtaining and analyzing information to determine an estimated state of a real world. First information is obtained from a first source of a plurality of sources (e.g., data stores, real-time data streams, or information services), where the first information is potentially indicative of first and second states of the real world. If the first information exceeds a first decision threshold, then the estimated state is the first state, and if the first information exceeds a second decision threshold, then the estimated state is the second state. If the first information does not exceed either of the first and second decision thresholds, then second information is obtained from a second source. Obtaining the second information is based on whether the second source includes information that is relevant to the estimated state and whether the second source includes information that is redundant with the first information.

  • Publication number: 20170105616
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods to select fovea containing optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. The systems and methods described herein receive a plurality of OCT images. The portion of the OCT images are selected for further processing, where a line tracing the border between the retina and non-retina tissue is generated. A difference of the line is generated. Candidate OCT images are then generated responsive to the generated difference line. The lowest point among each difference lines generated for each of the OCT images is identified, and the OCT image to which the lowest point corresponds is identified as the fovea containing OCT image.

  • Publication number: 20070278092
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of producing hydrogen comprising: contacting steam 20 with a proton conducting membrane 7 supported on a porous redox stable substrate 8, through said substrate 8. The membrane 7 is non-permeable to molecular gas and to oxide ions. A DC voltage is applied across an anode 15 coupled to the substrate side of the membrane and a cathode 9,11 coupled to its other side so as to dissociate at least part of the steam 20, into protonic hydrogen and oxygen at said anode 15. The protonic hydrogen passes through the membrane and forms molecular hydrogen 23 at the cathode 9, 11.

  • Publication number: 20060013978
Abstract: A plastic sleeve is applied to a pole of varying cross-sectional area. A series of poles are advanced along their lengths through the opening of an extruder die, plastic is extruded onto the pole to form a cylindrical sleeve, and the rate of advancement of the pole through the die is adjusted in accordance with the increasing or decreasing diameter of the pole, so as to assure an even application of the plastic about the pole. The ends of the plastic are gathered while the plastic is still hot, forming a closure of the plastic about the ends of the pole.
