  • Patent number: 5097827
Abstract: A medical tube holder for attachment to a patient's nose septum for holding medical tubing inserted into the patient's nose. The tube holder includes opposite upstanding clamp arms defining an acute included angle therebetween for insertion into the nostril and thereby into clamp engagement on opposite sides of the patient's septum. One of the nasal clamp arms includes a tube holder section for substantially surrounding and maintaining medical tubing in position. A thumbscrew adjusts the distance between the upstanding clamp arms and therefore the clamping pressure on the septum. A rotating screw in another embodiment is fixed to one clamp arm and threadably mounted on another clamp arm to provide threadable adjustment. A locking pin and detent configuration in a further embodiment enables adjustment of the clamp arms between preset positions. An integral unit in a still further embodiment with two opposing upstanding clamp arms set at an optimum acute included angle therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4668845
Abstract: A modular lamp socket and switch device with fixed switch contacts formed in a ratchet face, and movable contacts in a matching ratchet face cam driven in a snap-acting manner. A turn-knob or a push or pull-type switch assembly provides the cam drive action. Either a one-way or a three-way lamp socket device may be constructed for a turn-knob, push-knob, or pull-chain type using essentially the same components.

  • Patent number: 4173055
Abstract: The pump drive mechanism is driven by a wiper drive motor having a drive pin adapted to revolve in a circular path, while driving the wipers, and which is displaced along a generally radially directed path outwardly of the circular path, at a prescribed point thereon, when the wipers are moved to the park position. The mechanism has a rotatable drive cam, which is connected, via a cam follower, to reciprocate the piston rod of the pump. To facilitate installation, the drive cam carries a drive pin engaging portion designed to automatically engage the drive pin, after the first actuation of the wiper motor, regardless of the initial relative positions of the drive pin and drive cam. As a result, the necessity for positioning the drive cam with respect to the drive pin in a prescribed position during installation is eliminated.
