  • Publication number: 20090063269
Abstract: A method of freemium based marketing includes providing a utility consumer with an offer for a freemium requiring the consumer to respond to the offer. When the consumer responds to the offer, consumer data is collected and a bundle of additional consumer products are selected based on the consumer data. The bundle of additional products may include home service products. The method then offers the consumer an opportunity to purchase products from the selected bundle. The method then provides the user with the freemium.

  • Patent number: 6803333
Abstract: An airbag fabric is made from multifilament yarns each comprised of a plurality of individual filaments, with each filament having a linear density in the range from about eight (8) decitex to eleven (11) decitex per filament, and more preferably a linear density in the range from about nine (9) decitex to about eleven (11) decitex per filament. The fabric has a circular bend stiffness in the range of about four (4) Newtons to about seven (7) Newtons, as measured in accordance with ASTM method D4032-94.

  • Patent number: 6746658
Abstract: This invention provides a catalyst and a process for the catalytic partial oxidation of a hydrocarbon feedstock by contacting a feed stream including a hydrocarbon feedstock and an oxygen-containing gas with a catalyst in a reaction zone maintained at conversion-promoting conditions effective to produce an effluent stream including carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The process of this invention is characterized by using a porous catalyst containing rhodium, such as rhodium gauze or rhodium felt.

  • Patent number: 6488907
Abstract: A process for the production of synthesis gas from light hydrocarbons such as methane includes the net catalytic partial oxidation of a hydrocarbon feedstock by contacting a feed stream comprising the hydrocarbon feedstock and an O2-containing gas with a catalyst in a reaction zone maintained at conversion-promoting conditions effective to produce an effluent stream of H2 and CO in a molar ratio of about 2:1. A preferred catalyst used in the process includes at least one catalytically active metal supported on a catalyst support comprising an aluminum-containing, oxide-dispersion-strengthened, alloy that has been treated to provide a protective oxide layer between the support and the catalytically active metal.

  • Publication number: 20020013225
Abstract: Thermally integrated monolith catalysts active for catalyzing the oxidative conversion of methane to CO and H2 are disclosed. The composition and multi-layer configuration facilitates heat balancing between exothermic and endothermic reactions that take place in different sections of the monolith in a short contact time syngas reactor. The monolith comprises an active catalyst material supported by a multi-layer structure made of thin, porous metal pieces, the opposing faces of which are joined together at their perimeters. The metal pieces may be perforated disks made of at least two metals or metal oxides, and may also include a metal oxide coating.

  • Patent number: 6238634
Abstract: A process for nondestructive heating and supplying of ammonia feed gas wherein high quality ammonia (typically greater than 90% and as high as 99%) is preserved at temperatures well in excess of the conventional limit of 230° C. (typically from 400 to 700° C.) by controlling the selection of metal surfaces in contact with the hot gas, the bulk temperature of the gas, the wall temperature, the pressure, the contact time, and the spatial surface density. Such hot gases are particularly useful for the manufacture of hydrogen cyanide.
