  • Patent number: 7159939
Abstract: An auxiliary seating unit is designed for a vehicle with a bed, such as a bed-type all terrain vehicle or pickup truck. The seating unit is designed with seats mounted to a support frame, the support frame having portions which rest squarely atop the vehicle's bed surface, white upper portions of the frame juxtapose and reversibly attach (using pins and cotter keys, nuts and bolts, or other reversible attachment means) to the upper margins of the vehicle's bed fence. Seats are securely attached to and supported by seat supports which extend from the portions of the support frame which attach to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5779110
Abstract: A package including a container assembly, such as a tube having a dispenser spout, and a closure assembly having a concealed hinge, is provided for use in dispensing a consumer product such as toothpaste or medicinal ointment. The concealed hinge of the closure assembly permits a lid to be opened up to 180.degree. away from an associated closure base to provide maximum access to the container assembly to which the closure assembly is assembled. The closure assembly, including the lid and base, is capable of being molded in a single mold cavity and having maximum ease of opening and closing together with either one or two seals.

  • Patent number: 5400912
Abstract: A closure especially adapted for use with a dispenser spout, said closure having a concealed hinge arranged to permit the lid to be opened 180.degree. away from its associated base to provide maximum access to a container to which the closure is assembled, the closure, consisting of a closure base and a lid, being capable of being molded in a single mold cavity.

  • Patent number: 5178479
Abstract: A rod end clip for retaining an elongated L-shaped actuating rod, terminating in a short substantially right angled end portion, in a connected state with respect to an apertured lever member includes a rear wall section upstanding from a base member and having its distal end terminating in an overlying arm portion. A rigid retaining wall member upstanding from the base member and disposed substantially opposite the rear wall section is provided so as to form a retaining groove therebetween for securely retaining the actuating rod therein against rotational and vertical movement. The rigid retaining wall member has a cam surface which permits the insertion of the long leg of the actuating rod into the retaining groove with a low insertion force.

  • Patent number: 5148701
Abstract: Water testing apparatuses and methods for detecting contaminants in water supplies, such as from wells or other domestic water sources. The apparatuses are for use in reservoirs, such as a water closet of a sanitary toilet. They include an enclosure which defines an interior chamber which is intermittently charged with water. The water charged to the interior chamber is passed through one or more filters, preferably a packed column, which removes or otherwise indicates the presence of contaminants in the water. A counter measures the water passed through the system. Water is discharged from the interior chamber using a siphon. The siphon and restriction of flow caused by the filters help control the direction of flow and substantially prevent backflow. The summit of the siphon includes a relief valve for venting gas during filling of the siphon discharge.

  • Patent number: 3964597
Abstract: Brick courses are successively lifted and transferred from a kiln car onto the receiving end of a marshalling table with the longitudinal dimension of bricks extending transversely of the table. A push mechanism pushes against the cut surface of the bricks and moves the bricks longitudinally of the table toward the discharge end thereof, urging the bricks against an upstanding wall of a movable, marshalling carriage. The carriage slides from a first position beneath the discharge end of the marshalling table to a second position beyond the discharge end in response to the pressure exerted by the push mechanism. When a prescribed number of bricks have been pushed against the upstanding wall and the movable carriage moved to its second position, the push mechanism is deactivated and a clamp engages and holds the bricks remaining on the marshalling table. The marshalling carriage is then moved an additional distance to space the bricks thereon from the bricks remaining on the marshalling table.
