    Abstract: Uni-molded pacifier includes nipple, stem, shield and typically a handle. The stem includes a round surface, as in classically designed pacifiers, or may be orthodontically shaped, extending proximally and longitudinally into a base which in turn is blended into a shield. Change in the base to stem contact angle lowers the applied force to the stem as compared to traditional pacifier stems and bases. The decrease in applied force to the stem equates to less pressure needed to compress the stem thru sucking activity. The shield, in this uni-molded pacifier, also has an increase in the area and mass of the center surface. This decreases diameter of the posterior mouth of the shield opening to a lumen of the base and stem which has an added benefit to make it more difficult for debris to enter the lumen. If desired there is no posterior mouth.

The dilator/introducer is simply a tube, solid or hollow having a hollow proximal end that will hold a distal end of a nasal endotracheal tube in place. It will act as a dilator, and once the distal end of the endotracheal tube is past the nasopharynx and is visualized in the oropharynx, the “dilator” is removed and typically discarded. A method of use of the intubation device is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A pacifier includes a nipple, a shield and a handle. The nipple comprises a pair of wings extending longitudinally along a bulbous end of the nipple. The wings allow for air to exit and enter the space between the palate and the nipple to prevent a vacuum therebetween. Alternatively, the nipple has a channel system comprising a series of holes on the surface of the nipple, some contacting the palate, to also allow the air to enter and exit the space between the palate and the nipple. The stem of the nipple may also have a transverse hole which receives the baby teeth to prevent an open bite.

    Abstract: A flexible curtain rollup door is driven between open and closed positions by an adjustable frequency AC electric drive motor including a controller which is operable to accelerate and decelerate the motor by supplying AC electrical power at variable frequencies over a predetermined time period and for operating the motor at selected speeds during a continuous run phase of operation. A programmable logic controller (PLC) is operably connected to the controller for the drive motor and is operable to receive signals from upper and lower door position sensors, door bottom edge bar breakout sensors, a door bottom edge bar contact sensor, area sensors on one or both sides of the door for detecting the presence of an object within certain areas adjacent the door opening and manually operable switches to control opening and closing movements of the door. A position sensor is connected to the motor and generates signals correlated with motor and curtain roll drum revolutions to provide backup door position signals.

When the apparatus is connected to the circuit and the switch is closed, a current is created in the circuit which overloads the circuit breaker. The apparatus also includes a fuse to protect the device and a LED to indicate when the device is in use. The apparatus can also include multiple loads to be able to create the overload in different circuits.
