  • Patent number: 5063314
Abstract: Miswiring of a multivoltage compressor motor is prevented by the use of a phase barrier having integral jumper bars for connecting pins in the correct pattern for the chosen voltage. The phase barrier for the chosen voltage is placed on the pins extending from a terminal plate and the appropriate connections to the power source are made.

  • Patent number: 4938666
Abstract: In a compressor having a plurality of banks of cylinders, smaller steps of unloading are achieved by unloading a single cylinder in a bank. When only one cylinder is to be unloaded, gas bypass is used in order to maintain a closer balance of forces in the bank. When the entire bank is unloaded, it is preferably done via the suction cutoff method.
