  • Patent number: 7486164
Abstract: A tripping device comprises a coil frame, a coil, a plunger, a spring, and an anti-shock device. The coil is fixedly coupled to the coil frame and has a cylindrical channel extending therethrough. The plunger is reciprocatingly received within the cylindrical channel and the spring is structured to bias the plunger within the cylindrical channel. The anti-shock device includes at least one of a number of anti-shock devices structured to eliminate movement of the coil relative to the coil frame and a number of anti-shock devices structured to eliminate movement of the plunger relative to the cylindrical channel. An under-voltage release mechanism comprises a mounting bracket, a tripping device, and an angled support. The mounting bracket includes a first portion and a second portion. The angled support is fixedly coupled to the mounting bracket between the first and second portions and is structured to prevent flexing of the mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 5902974
Abstract: A slide bar interlock for interlocking adjacent first and second circuit breakers having dissimilar actuating means and preventing the first and second circuit breakers from simultaneously being in a closed operating position. The slide bar interlock includes a housing and a slide bar received in the housing. The slide bar includes a first end which extends from the housing adjacent to the first circuit breaker and a second end which extends from the housing adjacent to the second circuit breaker. The slide bar is slidable between a first position where the first end of the slide bar blocks operation of a pivoting actuating handle of the first circuit breaker and a second position where the second end of the slide bar maintains a push-to-open button of the push button actuating means of the second circuit breaker in an actuated position.

  • Patent number: 4377796
Abstract: This invention provides an electric control device comprising a unique and novel auxiliary contact structure is made an integral part of the operating coil. This new arrangement greatly expands the interlocking capabilities of electric control devices without causing an increase in the device's overall size.

  • Patent number: 4302650
Abstract: A circuit interrupter with an optical indicator characterized by a housing, a stationary contact structure within the housing, a movable contact carrier structure within the housing and movable between open and closed positions relative to the stationary contact carrier, said carrier structure also being movable between remote and proximate positions of the lens, indicator means for observing the position of said carrier structure and including a lens in the housing and directed to said carrier structure, indicia on the surface of said carrier structure facing the lens and having two indicia portions, and the lens showing different indicia portions when the carrier structure is in remote and proximate positions, thereby indicating to an observer whether the circuit interrupter is in the open or closed circuit condition.
