  • Publication number: 20040006934
Abstract: A building wall structure having increased heat insulating qualities. The building wall structure comprises a plurality of foam panels that are arranged substantially around the exterior of the building frame. The plurality of foam panels collectively define an insulative barrier. The insulative barrier is also designed such that exterior cladding such as stucco, siding, or the like can be attached to the insulative barrier. Moreover, the attachment hardware used to attach the foam panels to the frame and the cladding to the foam panels are substantially isolated thermally to thereby inhibit heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the building.

  • Publication number: 20030192276
Abstract: An insulative building wall structure including parallel channel-bearing track and load plate structures with a plurality of spaced apart posts extending perpendicularly there between and a plurality of respective foam panels disposed between the posts. The panels are provided with a plurality of vertical slits such that width adjustment thereof can be accomplished on-site by removing an appropriate number of slitted strips from a panel. Each panel is maintained such that a void is formed between respective interior edges of the channels and the interior surfaces of the foam panels. A wall surface panel is secured to respective interior outer edges of the track and load plate structures to create an insulative dead air space, corresponding to the above-described void, between the interior surface of each foam panel and the wall surface panel.

  • Patent number: 5505031
Abstract: An improved building structure and method of use comprising separately fabricated floor, wall and ceiling structures capable of withstanding shear and seismic forces. The wall structure comprises an elongate track and a plurality of posts rigidly attached to a foundation structure of the building. Disposed between the posts are a plurality of interlocking foam wall sections which encapsulate the posts of the wall structure. Attached to the top ends of the posts are upper and lower header beams which serve as a support structure for the roof and ceiling structures. Brace members are attached to the posts and header beam to provide the wall structure with increased seismic stability.

  • Patent number: 5353560
Abstract: An improved building structure and method of use comprising separately fabricated floor, wall and ceiling structures capable of withstanding shear and seismic forces. The floor and ceiling structures of the present invention generally comprise I-beams having foam panels extending therebetween. The wall structure comprises an elongate track rigidly secured to the foundation structure of the building having a plurality of posts secured thereto. Disposed between the posts are a plurality of interlocking foam wall sections which encapsulate the posts of the wall structure. Attached to the top surfaces of the posts are header beams which serve as a support structure for the ceiling structure.

  • Patent number: 5279088
Abstract: A wall structure comprising a track, a plurality of vertical posts secured to the track at predetermined locations, a plurality of horizontal header beams bridging the posts and secured to the posts, and a plurality of wall sections having a grooved side and tongue side and adapted to receive the track in its bottom side, the header beams in its top side, the wall sections assembled together in a tongue and groove relationship along the wall structure with the posts being encapsulated in the tongue and groove joint to form a monolithic wall structure.
