  • Patent number: 9777930
Abstract: A telescoping downdraft ventilator with a movable fan and efficient way of removing gases and fumes is disclosed. The telescoping downdraft ventilator has the ability to fit behind a cook top unit beneath a countertop when the cook top unit is located against a wall. The telescoping downdraft ventilator has a fan that may be attached in front of the unit or behind the unit. The ventilator collects and draws in exhaust fumes and smoke, filters it, and re-circulates or expels it through a movable exhaust duct.

  • Publication number: 20120204855
Abstract: A cooking device with a ventilation and filtration system is disclosed that may be a mobile cart. The ventilation and filtration system provides removal of heated and effluent-laden air from the vicinity of the cooking device utilizing a manually telescoping vent having a handle for positioning the vent. The telescoping vent piece may be easily manually removable and reattachable for cleaning. Further, the downdraft ventilator is in communication with a filtration and effluent removal system that may have one or more filters and may also have a drip tray.

  • Patent number: 8020549
Abstract: A telescoping downdraft ventilator with a system for self-aligning a vent within a housing is provided. The telescoping downdraft ventilator of the present invention comprises a housing with a track, a vent sized to fit within the housing, a drive assembly that moves the vent along the track, and a guide attached to the vent for engaging the track, wherein the guide is operably coupled with a biasing element. In one embodiment, a pair of guides is respectively coupled with pair of compression springs and is positioned on opposite sides of the vent along a line that is substantially perpendicular to a pair of tracks.

  • Patent number: 4991775
Abstract: A drinking fountain attachment for a faucet, such as a kitchen or bathroom faucet, the attachment having a tubular body portion threaded at the upper end for attachment to a downwardly extending faucet and having an orifice opening in the tubular side wall, a spigot element fixed to the exterior of the tubular body communicating with the orifice, providing means for discharging water therefrom in an upward direction to provide a fountain drinking stream. A tubular control member is rotatably supported to the tubular body lower end. A tubular elastomeric member is received within the body and control member and secured at each end in tension whereby the control member is retained in rotatable axial alignment with the body member, the elastomeric member serving to restrict flow of water through the tubular body and control member when the control member is rotated to thereby direct water out the orifice and the spigot to produce a drinking fountain.
