  • Publication number: 20140084557
Abstract: A specially formed ball shaped disc 40 to 50 mm in diameter to be utilized on the PICĀ® inline skate, U.S. Pat. No. 5,738,360, to allow for extreme jumps, spins, and footwork moves in the sport of inline figure skating. The ball pick disc is made of molded rubber or synthetic material. The purpose of the ball pick is to provide extreme deep edges for enhanced spins, jumps, and footwork common in the sport of inline figure skating while protecting the skate frame from scraping. The ball shape is slotted to fit around the frame thus protecting the frame from scraping and allows the skater to achieve extremely deep edges. The ball shape provides 180 degrees of surface allowing the skater unlimited toe-in angles. The configuration of the disc allows the ball pick to be reversed to extend wear.

  • Patent number: 5738360
Abstract: A toe pick for an in-line skate provides figure skaters with a means for performing various skating maneuvers the same as performed on ice skates. The positioning and configuration of the toe pick effectively prevents the skater from over-rotating while providing a pick point used to center the skater's body in preparation for a jump or other type of stunt. The invention features a cylindrical toe pick disk held rotationally mobile by locking means, and secured to the in-line wheel frame of the skate forward of the toe wheel so as not to contact the ground during normal skating action. Although rotationally mobile, the toe pick disk is orientated to have a central axis parallel to the axis of rotation of each of the in-line skate wheels. The toe pick disk is positioned so that it contacts the horizontal skating surface, e.g., the ground, when the axis passing through the axles of the front and rear wheels of the in-line skate form an angle of between 5.degree. and 20.degree..

  • Patent number: 5165537
Abstract: A dart carrying and display case is prvovided with an insert having lower troughs for housing dart flights and an upper trough for housing a plurality of darts. The points of the darts are positioned within a dart block. The body segments of the darts are separated by knobs formed integrally with the inserts. A rod-like structure is passed through shaft segments of the darts to maintain the darts separated from each other and away from the cover of the case.
