  • Patent number: 5386084
Abstract: An electronic device enclosure is provided having a top and a bottom, preferably each made of a polycarbonate plastic material and having respective lower and upper edges which are the same shape, and an elastomeric cover which fits over the top and wraps around the lower edge thereof so as to seal the joint between the top and the bottom. Preferably, the cover is made of silicone rubber or urethane of a durometer in the range of 40 to 60. Push buttons with associated suspensions are moulded integrally into the cover so as to protrude downwardly through apertures in the top and engage push button switches on the electronic device therein. A display aperture may be provided in the top and, if so, a portion of the cover also wraps around the edges of the display aperture so as to be disposed between the display and the cover.

  • Patent number: 4936894
Abstract: A lock includes a plurality of elongated buttons, each of which has on the sides thereof a plurality of gates spaced angularly and longitudinally from one another. A case contains the lock and defines a plurality of bores within which the buttons travel. The buttons are urged out a front cover of the case by biasing springs and are normally prevented from rotation by engagement with keying protrusions on the case. The lock includes a locking bolt which is coupled to a checker plate. The checker plate defines a plurality of edges that engage the sides of the buttons and are received in the gates therein only if the buttons are properly positioned.

  • Key
    Patent number: 4895036
Abstract: A key for use with a lock having internally lugged tumblers comprises an elongate cylindrical member with a longitudinal keyway to receive the lugs. From the longitudinal keyway extend a plurality of circumferential grooves of coded lengths. From the ends of certain of these circumferential grooves extend second, axial grooves which extend back toward the handle of the key. These axial grooves permit the key to be pushed inwardly into the lock after the key has been fully turned. One of the circumferential grooves does not include an axial segment extending from the end thereof. This groove engages a member in the lock which is caused to move when the key is pushed inwardly after rotation. The movement of this lock member activates a printing mechanism inside the lock.

  • Patent number: 4139851
Abstract: Apparatus is responsive to an alternating signal which exceeds a first level, V.sub.L, and within a given time, t, exceeds a greater second level, V.sub.H, by causing a signal manifestation pulse to issue. The apparatus is responsive to a signal which does not exceed V.sub.H within time t after exceeding V.sub.L causing disablement of the circuit.

  • Patent number: 4110488
Abstract: A plurality of Schottky barrier devices are produced by a method which uses a relationship between barrier height, surface concentration of impurities, and alloying time valid when a thin layer of oxide is present on a device substrate and includes the steps of preselecting an impurity concentration for the principal surface of a plurality of silicon substrates and using a predetermined alloying time for each substrate to achieve a preselected barrier height.
