  • Patent number: 8933650
Abstract: A synchrocyclotron includes magnetic structures that define a resonant cavity, a source to provide particles to the resonant cavity, a voltage source to provide radio frequency (RF) voltage to the resonant cavity, a phase detector to detect a difference in phase between the RF voltage and a resonant frequency of the resonant cavity that changes over time, and a control circuit, responsive to the difference in phase, to control the voltage source so that a frequency of the RF voltage substantially matches the resonant frequency of the resonant cavity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2007
Date of Patent: January 13, 2015
    Assignee: Mevion Medical Systems, Inc.
Inventors: Charles D. O'Neal, III, Adam C. Molzahn, John J. Vincent

  • Patent number: 7204381
Abstract: There is a tube container that is resistant to water infiltration into the cavity between the head and the cap. The tube container has a body wall and a head. The body wall defines a chamber therein. The head has a shoulder, which has an orifice therethrough in communication with the chamber. The shoulder has a ridge extending therefrom adjacent its periphery. The ridge substantially blocks the infiltration of water when the cap is secured to the head.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 2002
Date of Patent: April 17, 2007
    Assignee: Pechiney Plastic Packaging, Inc.
Inventors: John J. Vincent, III, Douglas A. Abbott, Daniel L. King
  • Patent number: 6615883
Abstract: Disclosed is a container for receiving contents from another container. The container has a receptacle and a head. The receptacle has a chamber therein. The head has a neck. The neck has a receiving orifice therein and a bore therethrough. The receiving orifice communicates with the chamber through the bore. The neck further has an inner surface contiguous to the receiving orifice and/or the bore. The inner surface has a plurality of splines extending therefrom and generally directional to the longitudinal extension of the neck. Further disclosed is a tube container. Still further disclosed is a method for introducing the contents of one container into another container.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 19, 2002
Date of Patent: September 9, 2003
    Assignee: Pechiney Plastic Packagaing, Inc.
