  • Publication number: 20180000047
Abstract: The pet toy comprises a body resembling an animal such as a bird with a laser light source mounted in the body. The body is attached to an elongate flexible wand or spring. The opposite end of the elongate wand connects to a base. The base has a plurality of prongs that extend substantially perpendicular to the base. Each prong has a stem and an arm extending substantially perpendicular to the stem. The pet toy is mounted to a corrugated surface having gaps between layers of material, such as cardboard. The prongs are oriented to engage the surface so sufficient frictional engagement is achieved to keep the pet toy mounted when an animal makes contact with the pet toy. In another embodiment the pet toy is a brush with a base and plurality of prongs in the same configuration such that the brush can be mounted flush to the corrugated surface.

  • Publication number: 20180000048
Abstract: A pet toy includes an anchor member and at least one ring member connected thereto. The ring member has a noise making device. In one embodiment, the noise producing feature includes a squeaker protected within a housing disposed within the interior of the toy. In another embodiment, the noise producing feature includes multiple layers of material with one of the layers producing sound. When an outer shell of the ring member is deflected or compressed by contact, noise is produced by the noise making device.

  • Publication number: 20170303510
Abstract: A treat dispensing device has a body and a hollow interior. A plurality of dispensing openings function to dispense treats. A non-adjustable opening is formed on an exterior surface of the body. A sleeve is slideably engaged within a part of the hollow interior of the body. At least one adjustable opening is formed on the sleeve. A user selectively places the pet toy in a first position to cover the adjustable opening with a portion of the body and a second position to expose the adjustable opening. The sleeve may include two sections in which an adjustable opening is formed on each section. A third position of the pet toy is defined by placement of the body relative to the sleeve so an adjustable opening is exposed on each sleeve section. An incremental position is defined by placement of the body relative to the sleeve so at least one adjustable opening is partially or fully exposed. A method includes placement of the device in a selected position to dispense treats at a selected rate for selected treats.

  • Publication number: 20170303508
Abstract: The pet toy comprises a body having a chamber that may hold attractants. A plurality of openings in the body enables the aroma of an attractant to escape. One end of the body includes a projection that frictionally engages one end of an extension in the form of an elongate spring. The opposite end of the elongate spring connects to a base. The base has a plurality of prongs that extend substantially perpendicular to the base. Each prong has a stem and an arm extending substantially perpendicular to the stem. The pet toy is mounted to a surface having gaps between layers of material, such as cardboard. The prongs are oriented to engage the surface so sufficient frictional engagement is achieved to keep the pet toy mounted when an animal makes contact with the pet toy.

  • Publication number: 20170303509
Abstract: A pet toy includes a ring shaped peripheral body and an interior dispenser. An interior curved engaging surface of the peripheral body engages an exterior spherical surface of the dispenser. A curvature of the interior engaging surface allows the dispenser to continuously roll or rotate, yet maintain engagement with the peripheral body when the peripheral body is displaced by contact. The dispenser is hollow thereby defining a chamber to receive treats. One or more dispensing openings are provided on the dispenser to selectively dispense treats. The openings can be sized to selectively dispense treats of various sizes and shapes. The invention further includes a method of dispensing treats from a pet toy and a combination comprising the pet toy and selected treats loaded within the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20160324123
Abstract: A pet toy includes an inner layer or shell; an outer layer or shell; a noise producing center layer and a noise making element. When the outer shell is deflected or compressed by contact, the center layer is also deflected thereby producing a first sound. The noise making may be a squeaker supported within an interior chamber of the toy. When the outer shell is deflected or compressed by contact, the squeaker produces a second different sound.

  • Publication number: 20160309682
Abstract: A pet toy incorporates distinct materials having differing elastomeric features and others. The pet toy has an inner member and an outer shell that covers selected portions of the inner member such that an exposed exterior surface of the toy includes both portions of the inner member and outer shell. The inner member is more elastic or compressible as compared to the outer shell that is stiffer or more resilient. Yet, the outer shell still maintains an elastomeric response to contact. A noise making device may be mounted within an interior chamber of the outer shell. The inner member has a central opening to receive the chamber housing that interlocks the inner member and outer shell. Exposed portions of the inner member may be flush with the outer surface of the outer shell or may protrude beyond the exterior surface.

  • Publication number: 20160242391
Abstract: A device of the invention includes a plurality of modules interconnected by ribs or connectors. A module includes an inner layer or shell; an outer layer or shell; and a noise making element. One of the noise making elements may be an interior sleeve or center layer secured between the inner and outer shells of a selected module. When the outer shell is deflected or compressed by contact, the interior sleeve is also deflected thereby producing sound. Another noise making element may include a squeaker supported within an interior chamber of a selected module. Different combinations of modules can be provided in which the modules may be of different shapes and sizes, as well as how the modules are geometrically spaced from one another by the ribs. The module combinations may also differ in the type and number of noise making elements adopted.

  • Publication number: 20160165845
Abstract: A treat dispensing device and method are provided that enables treats to be dispensed for multiple different types of treats simultaneously, but at selected different rates. The treat dispensing device has a plurality of treat dispensing openings or holes, and a plurality of chambers within the device separated by respective internal partitions. Each chamber may be loaded with desired types of treats. The size, shape, and number of treat dispensing openings may differ between openings that communicate with respective chambers. The different sized and shaped treat dispensing openings, as well as the number of openings in the device, provide different levels of difficulty for treat extraction.

  • Publication number: 20150101546
Abstract: A pet toy with one or more treat holding receptacles is provided. A receptacle generally conforms to the outer surface or shape of the pet toy, and extends into the interior of the pet toy for holding a primary treat. The receptacle has a plurality of interior engaging surfaces that frictionally hold the primary treat in a desired orientation. An opening is formed through the receptacle for loading secondary treats into an interior of the pet toy. The primary treat has an exposed portion shaped and sized to provide a desired degree of difficulty for an animal to remove the primary treat from the corresponding receptacle. The portion of the primary treat in contact with the engaging surfaces of the receptacle forms a cap or closure, and when all or part of the primary treat is removed, the secondary treats may be dispensed through the opening of the receptacle.
