  • Patent number: 8918492
Abstract: The systems, methods and devices disclosed herein provide for a field panel that includes a webserver. The field panel and webserver are arranged in communication with one or more automation components and/or field panels deployed for operation in connection with the building automation system. An information request may be directed to a master field panel for authorization. The master field panel may in turn query a node table containing address and/or communication information with the other field panels and/or automation components operable on the wired or wireless communication network. The information within the node table allows for direct communication to the other field panels and/or automation components operable on the network. In this way, authorized access to each of the field panels and/or automation components is achieved while any communications bottleneck at the master field panel may be significantly reduced or eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20130086066
Abstract: Management systems, methods, and mediums. A method includes identifying a name of a first object in a plurality of objects. The plurality of objects is associated with one more devices communicably connected to a building automation and controls network. The method includes parsing characters in the name of the first object to identify a plurality of name segments separated by one or more delimiters in the name in response to identifying the one or more delimiters. The method includes identifying a type of the first object and a location of a first device associated with the first object based on the plurality of name segments. Additionally, the method includes generating a hierarchical structure for the plurality of objects based on the type and the location, the hierarchical structure comprising a name for each of the plurality of objects.

  • Patent number: 6381307
Abstract: An ISDN or other enhanced bulk delivery telephone signal i processed by a channel bank receiver to preferrably produced a plain old telephone signal output having dialed number and caller I.D. as lead information. This signal is advantageously used by a security station receiver to distinguish different calling alarm panels which may not be uniquely identified by their own address. This information also allows more effective processing of telephone signals received by the security station.

  • Patent number: 4599647
Abstract: An interface permits bi-directional data signal transfer between the microcomputer of the receiver and an addressable controller-decoder designed for use in conjunction therewith. The data transfer permits expansion of the receiver functions and future adaptability to a variety of satellite services. The interface transfers messages from the microcomputer representing keystrokes received from the receiver keyboard and the status of the various receiver components and receives commands from the decoder for regulating the operation of the receiver components and for the transfer of specific information. The data transfer is achieved through a serial communication protocol which facilitates the interaction between units.
