  • Publication number: 20100047729
Abstract: A childproof windshield for a disposable lighter, includes a U-shaped surrounding wall mounting on two supporting walls of the disposable lighter respectively, and a pair of safety shells for coaxially positioning with a striker wheel and facing two outer sides of two driving wheels of the striker wheel respectively. The safety shells are respectively extended integrally from the two sides of the U-shaped surrounding wall upwardly and rearwardly. Thereby, the safety shells form a physical barrier to prevent a thumb of a user from fully engaging the striker wheel. A slant ceiling surface of the childproof windshield is downwardly inclined from the two safety shells towards a front end of the childproof windshield adapted for increasing a striking route of the thumb of the user against the pair of safety shells and the driving wheels.

  • Publication number: 20090075691
Abstract: A lighter, which is adapted for incorporating with a cellular phone, includes a cellular phone activating detection device supported in a lighter casing. The cellular phone activating detection device includes a power source, a detection circuit unit, and a signal generator electrically coupled with the detection circuit unit. The detection circuit unit, which is electrically linked to the power source, has a detection range in responsive to a hand reachable range of a user for wirelessly detecting an activation of the cellular phone when the cellular phone is located within the detection range with respect to the lighter casing. When the cellular phone is activated, the signal generator generates an attention signal to give the user an attention of the cellular phone.

  • Patent number: 6669465
Abstract: A piezoelectric lighter includes a safety lock for preventing the piezoelectric lighter from being accidentally or undesirably ignited, especially by children. The safety lock includes a locking member which includes a pair of guiding arms and is slidably mounted on the ignition button of the piezoelectric lighter for switching between a locked state and an unlocked state of the piezoelectric lighter. In the locked state, the pair of guiding arms are adapted to bias against a top surface of a pair of sliding grooves formed inside a supporting frame of the lighter respectively for restricting a downward movement of said ignition button. Whereas in the unlocked state the pair of guiding arms are adapted to align with said pair of sliding grooves respectively, so that the pair of guiding arms and the ignition button can slide downwardly along the pair of sliding grooves respectively for activating a piezoelectric unit inside the lighter casing to ignite the piezoelectric lighter.

  • Patent number: 6540507
Abstract: A piezoelectric lighter incorporates with a safety lock which includes an ignition cap slidably mounted on the casing in a radially movable manner, a blocking stopper supported in the ignition cavity, a locking member including a locking latch disposed the ignition cavity and extended to a position that the locking latch is blocked by the blocking stopper, so as to lock up the ignition cap from ignition. To unlocked the safety lock, the locking latch is moved away from the blocking stopper so as to release the blocking up of the ignition cap with respect to the blocking stopper, so that the ignition cap is capable of being slid sidewardly and downwardly to ignite the piezoelectric lighter.
