  • Patent number: 9283453
Abstract: A method is disclosed for installing and optimizing adjustable swing-weight in a vibration-damped manner inside a golf club shaft. A plug assembly of selectable weight is inserted through a circular opening in the golf grip cap with a special tool, moved to any desired location within the shaft and securely fastened in place in a vibration-damped manner by a resilient, cylindrical, radially-expandable element. At least one weight rod, made available in different materials, lengths and weights, is spaced from the shaft by one or more resilient damper sleeves to minimize shaft vibration. The expandable element is secured by a machine screw threaded into the upper end of the weight rod, and is dimensioned (unexpanded) so as to enable easy insertion and location adjustment of said plug assembly.

  • Patent number: 9238898
Abstract: A rainwater diverter shell has edge flashing with a right-angled flange formed by a first upper flange that defines a first vertical plane and a second upper flange that defines a second vertical plane orthogonal to the first. A first side flange extends between the first upper flange and a base and has a first side flange surface in parallel to the first vertical plane. A second side flange extends between the second upper flange and the base and has a second side flange surface in parallel to the second vertical plane. A horizontal base flange defines a base plane. The horizontal base flange extends along an arc that subtends a reflex angle between the first and second vertical planes. A sloped surface descends from the edge flashing to the horizontal base flange and extends across the rainwater diverter from the first side flange to the second side flange.

  • Patent number: 9031095
Abstract: A master node is configured to receive, from a slave node, a request to perform a modified two-step synchronization (sync) operation in a manner that precludes transmitting a follow-up packet; generate a sync packet in a manner that includes information associated with a previous time that a prior sync packet was transmitted to the slave node; transmit the sync packet to the slave node; receive, from the slave node, a delay request packet; transmit, to the slave node, a delay response packet, where the delay response packet stores information associated with another time at which the delay request packet was received, and where transmitting the delay response packet enables the slave node to calibrate a clock, hosted by the slave node, to a master clock, hosted by the master node, based on the previous time and the other time.

  • Patent number: 9025135
Abstract: Provided is a method to load a patterning device (1010) onto a reticle stage (RS) of a lithography system, a Rapid Exchange Device (RED) configured to load a patterning device (1010) onto a reticle stage (RS) of a lithography system, and a system for manufacturing a semiconductor device lithographically. The method involves sharing compliance among six degree of freedom between the reticle stage (RS) and the RED. The RED complies in only a first three degrees of freedom and the reticle stage (RS) in only a second three degrees of freedom until the reticle stage (RS) and patterning device (1010) are substantially in contact and coplanar.

  • Publication number: 20140372106
Abstract: A method of decision definition using a rules vocabulary includes: receiving free form input; identifying terms contained within the free form input; searching the rules vocabulary objects for terms; responsive to the term being found, obtaining input from a user as to whether to use the found term; responsive to the term not being found; searching the rules vocabulary attributes for terms having attributes corresponding to the term; responsive to the term being found, obtaining input from a user as to whether to use the found term; and refactoring the free form input with the found term accepted by the user. The method also includes updating the rules vocabulary with the term identified in the free form input as a synonym for the term found in said rules vocabulary. One embodiment further provides a method of determining semantic equivalence between a plurality of rules using a rules database having preferred terms.

  • Patent number: 8754051
Abstract: The present invention provides isolated or synthetic peptides derived from the d subunit of mammalian F1Fo ATP synthase (dF1Fo) protein for the purposes of tissue protection and improved energy production following acute injury from ischemia/reperfusion or other toxic insults, or in chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer. The major focus of the patent protection will be 2 peptides comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 75% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 2 and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. However, additional peptide sequences within the dF1Fo protein may also have efficacies in these disease states and therefore all peptides shown in the Figures of this application (combined with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-Tat protein transduction, cytochrome oxidase subunit IV (COIV) mitochondrial targeting and Flag domains) are included for their efficacies in these conditions.
