  • Publication number: 20230372016
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for determining an optimized implant position using a kinematic and inverse dynamics model to model one or more outcome factors for a joint reconstruction of a patient. Motion capture data and geometric and inertial parameter data are applied to the model to optimize one or more outcome parameters associated with the one or more outcome factors to generate the optimized implant position. The optimized implant position is provided for use by a surgical planning system and/or an intra-operative surgical navigation system. A related apparatus is also disclosed comprising a storage device coupled to a processor that is configured to execute instructions stored on the storage device to perform the methods.

  • Publication number: 20220341716
Abstract: A method for automatically computing the position and score for each dart on a dartboard using a single image of the dart and dartboard captured from any camera angle. A computing device with at least one connected camera captures an image of a dartboard. The computing device performs various image processing tasks and computes the landing position of each dart present in the image and the positions of multiple dartboard calibration points. The dartboard calibration points are used to compute a transformation matrix that transforms the detected points in the image plane to corresponding points in the dartboard plane. The score of each dart is computed based on the relative positioning of the transformed points in the dartboard plane. The method may be used to perform automatic scorekeeping in a variety of different dart games, either in a single location or in remote locations.

  • Patent number: 8762004
Abstract: A pulse active steering control system and method for use in a motor vehicle for improving vehicle stability by reducing a likelihood for rollover and/or skidding sends pulses to the steerable wheels whenever a rollover coefficient and/or the difference between the estimated and actual yaw rate is outside a predetermined range. The pulses are asymmetrical in the form of a smooth curve with a gradually increasing rapid rising edge and a slower falling edge and provide steering input that, along with the driver steering input, returns the rollover coefficient and/or yaw rate to the predetermined range to reduce the likelihood of rollover and/or skidding.
