    Abstract: Foams having improved flammability characteristics are prepared by reacting a polyaryl polyalkylene polyisocyanate with 2 to 15 parts of an active hydrogen compound having a molecular weight of from about 350 to about 10,000 and from one to six active hydrogen containing groups as determined by the Zerewitinoff method in the presence of a blowing agent, a stabilizer and a catalyst.
