  • Publication number: 20160294569
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and machine readable storage medium is disclosed for Quota Control Policy for controlling a subscriber account on a network node for a current time period based short-term usage characteristics namely on data traffic usage during a sliding window of preceding time periods. This policy is independent of a standard metering limit for a billing period.

  • Patent number: 5604547
Abstract: A sunglass or eye protector molded from suitable optical material with inner and outer surfaces, both of which are noncircular in the horizontal direction and curved in the vertical meridian to provide substantially uniform thickness throughout.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 1995
Date of Patent: February 18, 1997
    Assignee: Gentex Optics, Inc.
Inventors: John K. Davis, Richard P. Waido
  • Patent number: 4904261
Abstract: A spinal implant, e.g., to replace an excised disc, comprises a rigid generally horseshoe shape of biocompatible material, such as carbon-fibre reinforced plastics, having upper and lower planar faces (10, 11) converging towards the ends (12) of the horseshoe, and at least one hole (13, 14) from each planar face (10, 11) emerging in the outer curved face (15) of the horseshoe, to enable the horseshoe to be fixed by screws inserted through one or more selected holes in each plurality (13, 14) from the ends in the outer curved face (15) into respective adjacent vertebrae, with the screw heads bearing against shoulders (18), and with the space bounded by the inner curved face (17) of the horseshoe available for the insertion of bone graft or a bone graft substitute.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 4, 1988
Date of Patent: February 27, 1990
Assignee: A. W. Showell (SURGICRAFT) Limited
Inventors: John Dove, Philip H. Hardcastle, John K. Davis, Brian M. King
  • Patent number: 4310225
Abstract: An ophthalmic prescription lens series in which each lens has a concave rear base curve selected from a family of curves, differing in nominal power by steps of 0.50 D, in such a manner as to minimize the maximum in absolute value of the astigmatic error for distant points, the positive power error for distant points, half the negative power error for distant points, and the astigmatic error for a near point of approximately 40 centimeters. The errors are computed for an approximate angle of 28.degree. between the line of sight of the wearer and the optical axis of the lens for both major meridians of the lens, for a first eye-to-lens distance measured from the nasal bevel of the lens to the center of rotation of the eye of approximately 24 millimeters, and for a second eye-to-lens distance similarly defined of approximately 34 millimeters for prescriptions between approximately +2.00 and -2.00 D and 32 millimeters for other prescriptions.
