Patent number: 11950789Abstract: A cleaning module for cleaning bone stock used in surgical procedures. The cleaning module includes a shell. The shell defines a void space to receive the bone stock. A cutter is rotating mounted in the void space. A shaving tube, also able to rotate, is coaxially disposed about the cutter. The cutter and shaving tube have complementary edges. A drive assembly rotates the cutter and shaving tube at different speeds, at different times or in different directions relative to the cutter. As a result of the rotation of the cutter and shaving tube soft tissue adhering to the bone stock is cut away from the bone stock by the relative rotating of the cutting edges of the cutter and shaving tube.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2020Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Stryker CorporationInventors: Robert E. Patent number: 8169812Abstract: Disclosed is a memory architecture comprising at least one memory bit cell and at least one read bit line whose voltage is controlled and changed by a current from a current controller. Each memory bit cell has a storage mechanism, a controlled current source, and a read switch. The controlled current source in each memory bit cell is electrically connected to the read bit line through the read switch. The current from the current controller that controls and changes the read bit line voltage flows through the controlled current source in the memory bit cell. The value of this current is determined by a function of a difference between the voltage on the storage mechanism in the memory bit cell and a reference voltage from a reference voltage input to the current controller. In some versions an indicator is provided for indicating when to stop the current in the controlled current source that controls a voltage change on one of the read bit lines.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2010Date of Patent: May 1, 2012Inventor: John K. Publication number: 20080242997Abstract: Ultrasonic pulse echo object classification is described. A broadband ultrasound transducer transmits a broadband ultrasound pulse towards the object and detecting an associated ultra sound echo of that pulse from the object. An ultrasound receiver receives the detected echo signal. A signal processor, coupled to the ultrasound receivers determines and analyzes a time duration parameter and a frequency parameter (and possibly one or more other parameters like amplitude and/or phase) of the detected echo signal and classifies the object as a solid or liquid or as gaseous based on the parameters of the detected echo signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2008Publication date: October 2, 2008Applicant: Luna Innovations IncorporatedInventors: John E. Patent number: 6921821Abstract: This invention provides compounds that are antagonists of melanin concentrating hormone receptor-1 (MCH-R1). The compounds are represented by formula I: where m is zero or one, n is zero to two, Y is oxygen or —N(R9)—, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R9 and Ring A are defined in the specification. Coumarin and quinolone compounds where R1 and R2 together form a fused benzo ring are preferred. The invention also provides compounds of formula VI where the coumarin moiety is replaced by a quinazolinone ring. The compounds are useful for treating MCH-R1-related disorders, particularly overweight conditions including obesity.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2003Date of Patent: July 26, 2005Assignee: Abbott LaboratoriesInventors: Christopher Blackburn, Su-Jen Lai, Jennifer L.
