  • Publication number: 20140365571
Abstract: An approach is provided to determine the veracity of an online posting. In the approach, when a posting is received at a web site, a topic for the posting is automatically identified. The approach further identifies actions and corresponding action originators that have been taken to the posting, with the actions being events such as commenting, liking, disliking, re-sharing, posting the online posting. Veracity information is collected about the action originators. A veracity weighting for the action originators is assigned based on the collected veracity information.

  • Publication number: 20120101956
Abstract: Advance shipment data associated with a shipment is received at an inventory controller device. The advance shipment data is verified. A data collection model is generated based upon the advance shipment data. The generated data collection model is stored within a memory. The shipment is autonomously validated by the inventory controller device using the generated data collection model in response to receipt of the shipment. An indication of a target storage location within a receiving facility is generated for each container of the validated shipment using a defined location topology model of the receiving facility including available storage locations.

  • Publication number: 20110095872
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to assuring manifest integrity for a shipping container of objects and provide a method, system and computer program product for manifest integrity management via radio frequency identification (RFID). In an embodiment of the invention, a manifest integrity management method can include scanning different RFID tags affixed to different objects for placement in a container. The method also can include determining both common data for all of the different RFID tags, and unique data for each of the different RFID tags. Finally, the method can include encoding an RFID tag for the container with an entry for the common data for the different RFID tags, and each unique data for each of the different RFID tags. In this way, a manifest can be created for the objects in the container.

  • Patent number: 7827200
Abstract: The present invention includes a method for managing serialization of ELECTRONIC PRODUCT CODES (EPCs). The method can include a step of identifying a software system for managing Tag Data Specification (TDS) compliant EPCs. The software system can include a database containing two or more related tables. A tuple can be included for each unique nonserialized portion of an EPC ID URN. The database can utilize the nonserialized portion to manage a serialized portion of the EPC. In one embodiment, the database can use the nonserialized portion of an EPC to automatically generate the serialized portion of the EPC. Different sets of sequentially increasing (or sequentially decreasing) serial numbers (that are assigned to the associated unique nonserialized portions of the EPCs) can be associated with different nonserialized values.
